My finances have been in the tank for the last two and a half years. Even through my financial woes, I have been able to manifest a place to stay and have had enough food in my belly, which has enabled me to go through the process of my spiritual awakening. It hasn’t always been easy, but the joys I have experienced from having clarity from a much higher perspective have been worth it…that is until a few days ago.
I had been struggling with certain things in my life and two days ago I made a major personal shift. I was grateful for the change that occured and made sure to thank the Universe for my good fortune. No, I hadn't won the lottery, but I had a deep sense of gratitude for having my health and generally being alive. It was quite a gift.
Recently, I was in a yoga class where the instructor sauntered in to the room commenting on some of the other students’ mats. They were black and he didn’t like that one bit. He continued by saying that he had taken color therapy and black, grey and brown are negative colors that absolutely should never be worn or even used in any way as they will attract negative things to the person.
I always write about what is relevant in my life and this last month has been an interesting one for me. You see, in my lifetime I have had maybe ten headaches. However, when I get them, they are migraines. The first time I had one, I was in college trying to get ready for final exams. Between four tests and four papers that were due, I had a lot going on and my migraine stayed with me for the entire last month of school. I had to cover an eye just so that I could focus on what the professor was lecturing about during class. Needless to say, it wasn’t fun.
Peacock has been making itself known to me in the last several weeks. The magnificence of the Peacock astounds me with its royal blues and greens which symbolize not only a sense of royalty, but also the heart and throat chakras. The heart chakra is in charge of our Love aspect and the throat dictates our self-expression and sense of truth. Therefore, the two colors together can mean communicating clearly through Love, which seems to be a perfect way to live.
It fascinates me how lessons are learned. Sometimes it’s in the midst of observing a painful dialogue between others. The other night, I had one such experience. While socializing with three other women, we were all getting to know one another better when one of them brought up a painful subject that was very much part of her life. While I chose to listen, the other two were determined to set this woman straight. It was their thought that she could not be healed unless they saw things her way.

As a lucid dreamer, I feel all the emotions during dreamtime that I do while I am awake. Last night, I dreamt that I was working in a retail store. In the dream, I had helped an overbearing woman no one else wanted to deal with. She purchased many things and I was happy, but the scene skipped to a few days later when she wanted to return every single thing, except for one skirt and one shirt. The woman then walked outside. I followed her to find her basking on the sun in a lounge chair which rested on a large wooden deck.
There were three of us seated in the living room. The internet and cable was down so we were spending more time reading and talking. It was a good thing. Marion suggested that we all talk about the strangest metaphysical experience we have ever had. I thought to myself there were too many to count, but I would narrow it down to a few.
When I heard what happened last Sunday evening, I could literally feel the emotions from around the world; some feeling great elation for the death of an enemy and some that were sending anger or even hatred towards Americans for this murderous act...and all these emotions made me sad. In that moment, I felt guided to send Compassion to all Beings everywhere.
