The professor had the graduate students that were his aides bring in a table. Then he had them bring in a big glass fish tank. It was pretty big, about five to six feet long and about four feet high. Then he had them bring in the pike, which is a carnivorous fish—and then bring in the minnows. It was a pretty convincing act. The pike eats faster than the human eye can react to and calibrate what's actually happening.

His Money Didn't Help Him At All

I caught the papers traveling in the UK recently, and oh, God rest his soul, a banker/businessman, Hywel Jones, from North Wales was shot in the Bahamas. He was working in the Bahamas—that's where his office is—and was shot two times at close range when he came to work at 9:30 a.m. The article called it an “ambush”, and also referred to the method as “execution-style”. Someone stepped out of the shadows while he was getting out of his car, and pow-pow!

I had a guy who embezzled several hundred thousand dollars from me. I'm not going to go into the specifics of the situation, but because of the fact that he did it to some other people, the law may still settle the score differently than things look right now. I Have Run The Good Race

I sent an article out recently, and I had one of the beautiful people on my subscriber list write me back. She happens to be a practicing psychic, and so she gave me a message, apparently because she was touched with the depth, the profoundness of the article. You cannot live in this world without encountering conflict…so you would think that they would teach conflict resolution in schools. Of course, they don't. I could've been out at the lake when I was writing this article; it was a beautiful day. As I dictated this, I'd just seen a group of about 12 Harley riders go by. Face Your Fear

Have you ever eaten fire? Have you ever walked on burning coals? They call it firewalking. Well, I have-I've walked on burning coals several thousand times. I used to lead empowerment seminars where that was a regular feature of our event. I don't do that today. Eating fire, yes-dozens and dozens of times. And again, I've taught dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of people to do that. Most people won't, and certainly the immediate reaction is, "That's not a good idea." See, either way, we know fire burns. All our experience has taught us that fire burns.

Here’s another good affirmation for you: “You are a creative center, from which increase is given off to all." What we, for short, call an “affirmation”, is more technically defined as “an affirmation of something that is true. This is not mystic mumbo-jumbo, you are a creative center, from which increase is given off to all. A lot of times, the mentor has the ability to see right through to the truth that is someone's major stumbling block. Lack of self-confidence is so common it's not even funny. Doubt, second-guessing, thinking of the opinions of others.

Here we are on the edge of civilized Panamá, pretty doggone close to Tocumen International Airport, the airport that services Panamá. And inside these lot lines the grief, the well wishing, is serious. Rosendo Moreno, father of the clan, aged 74, passed away a few days ago. And the family is gathered, we’re getting ready to go to the final service. Friends are gathering, well-wishers, those who want to encourage them and keep from being alone. And outside this lot line life goes on as normal.

A listener to my audio articles recently shared with me a point that she noted. And indeed, it's true-in a recent group of articles, I was clustered around grief. I was involved with my father-in-law's passing, and so I took advantage of that circumstance that life presented to reflect on those kinds of themes. And she said, "You know, it's interesting. I listened to your articles related around that theme, and you kept saying, 'Live, seize the day, grasp the moment.

Today, you get a special marketing message from the insights of Ted Ciuba as a direct response marketer. What does that mean?
