I am fortunate that I do what I love every day. As a young kid, I had challenges with my weight that prevented me from being active or playing the sports I loved. A conversation with a family friend regarding martial arts sparked an interest in fitness that has become a life long passion.
I began formal martial arts training when I was 11 on the advice of that family friend. Within a year of starting my training I had lost significant amounts of weight and was able to do physical activities that previously I was unable to do. Over the next several years martial arts became my main focus.
Shortly before my 19th birthday, I was preparing for a sparring tournament with my instructor. He caught me with a beautifully executed back kick that sent me flying through the air, and I landed directly on my tailbone crashing into a desk.
I was unable to walk and the pain was excruciating! After several days like this my grandmother took me to her chiropractor, and I was evaluated. The years of training had taken its toll on my back, in fact, I had suffered two bulging discs along with degeneration and arthritis: all at a young age!
So without delay, I began care with that chiropractor, and after a few weeks I was like a different person. Not only was my pain gone, but my performance athletically was improved to a level that surprised me! I quickly realized that I was destined to help others in the same way I was helped.
After graduation from chiropractic school in 2000, I combined my two passions; helping people get healthy naturally and assisting them in getting into great shape. Currently I practice with my wife (also a chiropractor) and we utilize chiropractic, nutrition, along with exercise training to help people get out of pain and into the best shape of their lives!
We take a step by step approach to health and fitness. First we complete a full health consultation and evaluation which includes a comprehensive medical exam as well as a fitness and performance assessment.
After determining what is wrong and what can be done to help, and of course in agreement with our patients goals and expectations, we help them naturally get out of pain, recover from illness, and become fitter and ultimately more healthy.
We have two goals with all of our patients: 1.) Help them regain and maintain their health naturally and safely without drugs or surgery. 2.) Show them how to build lifetime health and fitness using cutting edge exercise programs, nutritional strategies, and lifestyle improvements.
We have recently begun a consulting business to help people no matter where they may live, achieve top levels of health and fitness.
