Amy is a catalyst for change for you!
Amy is a Build Your Best Life coach and retreat leader. She’s also a nationally recognized green living & wellness expert for about 25+ years.
She inspires and supports people in building their unique best life by helping them navigate the complexities of transition, and gain the courage, wisdom, and tools to think outside the box.
Today.
Amy leads organic farm based, “Build Your Best Life Retreats (3, 5 and 7 day retreats for 2022 season) and unique food and farm tours on her Vermont farm, offers one-on-one life coaching, and is about to launch into the world of corporate coaching with a corporate coach friend’s business.
Eventually, she envisions having large corporate retreats on the farm in what will be a beautiful large dedicated greenhouse space, with plants growing on the sides, conference room components, and even a kitchen setup. That’s the dream for the next few years.
Catalyst for Change Coaching & Retreats (she just changed the name from Your Turning Point Coaching & Retreats)
Amy helps people create lasting and ongoing transformation. With over 35 years of personal & spiritual growth experience and research, Amy has channeled her personal and professional learning to create a living change lab for personal transformation, housed at her organic farm in Vermont.
Amy's coaching, retreats, and even her unique farm tours (workshops) have profoundly impacted the lives of people seeking a turning point: busy female entrepreneurs and business women, empty nesters, those in career and relationship transitions, and even veterans dealing with PTSD, and the realities of readjusting to civilian life.
In her own words...
I was a former NYC girl who always wanted to live on a Vermont organic farm. I made that dream come true over 12 years ago.
Despite my city upbringing, I was living a green life long before it became trendy. Organic food was a staple in our house. I even worked at a couple of health food stores where I became well versed with vitamins, supplements, juice fasting, and more. I spent about 6 weeks at the famous Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA, learning a multitude of healing and psychic skills tools. I got certified as a Polarity Therapy and massage therapist, which I’ve done off and on for 30 years.
For the past 25+ years, I've advised, inspired, and encouraged clients to adopt a Green Living plan for their lives—eat organic whole foods; replace toxic cleaning, body care, and household products with safer, truly natural ones; become energy and water efficient; grow their own food, build their immune systems, and how to introduce children to this way of life too.
Green Living—spiritual growth—and personal development.
In addition to my passion for green living, I've also been on a spiritual and personal growth path beginning with the very popular 1970's personal growth program called est (I think I was the only young person in the adult training—and then took a large number of workshops on all aspects of life—money, health, relationships, etc.), where I realized my life purpose of making a difference in other people's lives as a Transformation Cataylst. I became a certified life coach and massage/energy healer. I've been gardening organically for most of my adult life and have lived on an organic farm in Vermont for the past almost 12 years.
Passion for Leadership.
I've always been naturally drawn into leadership positions, starting with being the team captain for two varsity sports in high school, and graduated from the Rockwood Leadership Institute as an adult. I’ve co-led leadership coaching workshops with horses and groups of adults, as well as with my kid’s farm camp over 3 seasons.
I was the Board Chair of my local Chamber of Commerce, where I played an integral role in transforming the Chamber into a much-needed direct marketing organization for the community. I also created and led the Mad River Valley Wellness Alliance (a nonprofit collaborative of business owners who were committed to helping residents and visitors invest in themselves and enhance their journey of health and well being.) I’ve been very focused on enhancing the economic vitality of the Mad River Valley.
On the other side of leadership—over the past two winters, I’ve worked for the Vermont Legislature as the support staff for the Committee on Commerce & Economic Development. A fascinating and rewarding experience. Great group of leaders doing important work.
I've distilled many of my life experiences into organic farm based, healing and wellness retreats for people seeking a profound shift in their lives. Sharing all of this is my passion! When I learn something that I feel is valuable for others, I can’t help but share it, but only after I’ve tried it myself.
