I possess a strong passion for natural skincare as I know all too
well how it is to suffer with low self esteem from having unhealthy
skin. I also know all too well how synthetic skincare products are
irritable to the skin. My skin used to be a horrible mess layered with repulsive acne,
whiteheads, acne scars, and premature wrinkles sneakily creeping in. I
also had horrible sun damaged skin (from excessive overexposure from
playing tennis). I developed rhytiphobia (fear of getting wrinkles) and
gerontophobia (fear of getting older) around the tender age of 19 as I
saw how horrible and matured my skin looked. My self esteem was so
low.
I was obsessed with skincare. I would read every anti aging book or
article there was and spent thousands of dollars on fluff products,
books, and visiting dermatologists. I was for sure the day I bought
these products or prescribed medications, my skin problems would cease.
But, they never did… I was a slave to the marketing, the big brand
names, you name it. But, my reality check came when I looked at the
total charges on a bill that I racked up. It finally dawned on me that
these products (or the dermatologists) did not help me. I lost all
hope and felt like I wasted my time trying to heal my skin...It wasn't
until a small incident that happened while I was studying for a test in
college that I knew I had to tackle this problem or it would haunt me
forever.
I experimented and researched over the
years and tested my program. I've had the most success with this way of
life than with any commercial product or prescribed medication. One of
the best decisions I made in my life was when I became a vegetarian
many years ago; I have never felt or looked better. My phobias no
longer exist because I finally found a comfortable way of life and I
have learned not to compare myself to my peers. Aging is a wonderful
experience with many rewards.
Aside
from my business ventures, I am working towards completing my degree in
chemistry. I also play the violin. My favorite composers are Vivaldi
and Brahms. My favorite piece is "Meditation from Thais." Though I
adore the violin, I think the viola is the most underrated string
instrument by far. It possesses warmth of sound that can't be mimicked
(and many even agree that it's trickier to play than the violin).
