I am a certified and NYS licensed psychoanalyst in private practice for 20 years with offices in NYC and Brooklyn. I am on the faculty of the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, and the New York Graduate School of Psychoanalysis in NYC, where I teach research, supervise and work as a training analyst for psychoanalytic candidates. I received my doctorate from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis in 2008. My empirical research was on the topic of Adopted Women's Dreams. I have published numerous articles on schizophrenia, emotional communication, and dreaming and have written and lectured about dreaming as it relates to author's unconscious creations of literary characters. The focus of my work with analysands in treatment is to create a relaxed and quiet setting in which talking leads to the resolution of conflicts that interfere with daily life. The "talking cure," allows individuals to express often times unknown thoughts and feelings that have silently and repetitively prevented them from attaining the most productive, satisfying life possible for each of them. Talking is among the most powerful tools of change I have encountered in my work with families, individuals, children, adolescents, couples and groups.
