My Unitive™ approach to personal and professional life coaching has evolved as a result of many years experience in the field of human potential. After graduating as a pharmaceutical chemist at King's College in the University of London and registration as a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, my subsequent research into the mind-changing effects of psychotropic drugs convinced me of the need for a radically different, self-empowering approach by which individuals could learn how to take personal responsibility for change in their lives, rather than be influenced by prescribed or recreational drugs, indoctrination or other external means. After gaining an MA and then a PhD in phenomenology and gestalt psychology I went on to a post-doctoral training with Dr Jay Stattman, the director of the Institute of Unitive Psychology at Utrecht, the Netherlands. In 1971 I became an associate staff member of the Institute, setting up human potential courses, seminars and training facilities all over Europe.
Over the last thirty years I have worked in the UK, Europe and the USA as a professional agent of change with many international companies and a wide range of institutions, including the National Health Service, the Burton Group PLC, Abbey Life Assurance Group, ICS Learning Systems Inc., the Franciscan Order at Westminster Cathedral, and the TUC/EEC sponsored life skills and learning project in the North West of England.
I live in Westminster, central London, and have a wide-ranging and varied coaching clientele that includes media personalities, entrepreneurs and professionals in the business and corporate world, entertainment and the arts. I am often quoted in the quality national press as a recognised authority on personal and business life coaching and have appeared as a facilitative interviewer on BBC1 TV's 'Omnibus', ITV1, Channel 4 TV and BBC Radio 4.
