Dr. Deitra C. Payne is an assistant professor in human resources where she teaches undergraduate students. She has also taught graduate courses at a university in the MBA program. She also has more than 15 years of corporate business experience. Dr. Payne has worked for numerous government contractors in the areas of operations, accounting and finance. She has managed multimillion dollar contracts, developed corporate budgets and developed financial reporting systems to streamline work processes.
In 2006, Dr. Payne realized her dream of becoming an entrepreneur when she founded C. Payne Consulting & Training (CPCT), LLC. Dr. Payne has always been passionate about helping others, and CPCT is a professional services business specializing in management consulting, training and coaching for businesses and individuals designed to help its clients become successful. Business services include diversity and sensitivity training, team building, conflict resolution and leadership coaching. Individual services include career transitioning and life and success coaching. Dr. Payne is caring and compassionate and is dedicated to helping her clients succeed. She has partnered with other small businesses to bring her clients the best service possible. The mission of CPCT is to empower its clients with the knowledge, tools and resources to succeed. Dr. Payne was recognized in the 2006 power issue of the Arizona Woman magazine as one of five Valley women CEO's.
Dr. Payne holds a B.A. in Accounting, an M.A. in Management and Public Policy and a Ph.D. in Management with a specialization in human resources. Dr. Payne is a member of numerous organizations to include the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE). With her commitment to the community, Dr. Payne serves on the Board of Directors of a non-profit organization. She also volunteers her time to conduct workshops for youth. In 2007, Dr. Payne was asked to be a presenter at the Phoenix Black Youth Recognition Conference in which she spoke about choices.
Dr. Payne is also a motivational speaker and author. Her e-book, Living Happy: You Hold the Keys, provides powerful strategies to live a more joyous and happy life. She is also a contributing author to an upcoming book to be published in 2008. She is currently working on several self-help and empowerment books.
Additionally, in continuing with her passion for helping others, Dr. Payne founded a global organization called Women & HOPE, isdesigned to bring together people fro all over the world to share their stories and resources to help others achieve their endeavors so that every person is living their best life.
