Dr. Jacobs earned her Naturopathic Medical Degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. A fully accredited, federally funded, four-year post-graduate medical college. Bastyr University, has the distinction of being the leading educational and research institution for science-based natural medicine. Prior to receiving her Doctorate Degree, Dr. Jacobs obtained a Bachelor of Science degee in Psychology and a Health Minor from the College of Charleston.
Dr. Jacobs has completed clinical rotations in various outreach clinics in the Seattle area as well as preceptoring with some of the world's leading Naturopathic Physicians. Her practice is centered around clinical nutrition, homeopathy, herbal medicine, and lifestyle counseling. She has received additional training in the areas of detoxification, women's health, and the natural management of Mood Disorders. She is Vice President of the South Carolina Association of Naturopathic Physicians and a member or the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
Dr. Jacobs is sought after for her extensive knowledge in the health and wellness industry. As a frequent writer and lecturer, she is passionate about health education and works closely with people to help them identify and meet their health goals.
She teaches a weekly whole foods cooking class where she shares her thoughts about the healing power of using food as medicine. Dr. Jacobs is employed by InfoSearch Media as an expert writer for various health and wellness topics, including expert writing for Lance Armstrong’s new site on Health and Wellness, and she is a Naturopathic wellness consultant for a popular nutraceutical company called Vitabase.
