Syed Tabraiz Bukhari

Syed Tabraiz Bukhari is a clinical psychologist, writer and co-founder of Psychologus.net, where he writes about personality and mental health for everyday readers.

Tabraiz holds an MS in Clinical Psychology from the University of Lahore, where he graduated with a gold medal, and an MSc in Applied Psychology from Government MAO College, Lahore, also as a gold medalist. His MS research focused on psychosis and how cultural beliefs shape the way people in Pakistan experience and describe mental illness.

His clinical training includes a six-month internship at Services Hospital, Lahore, a teaching hospital where he worked under daily supervision in both outpatient and inpatient settings, seeing a high volume of clients with a wide range of conditions. He later completed clinical placements during his MS, including work at an autism centre with children and their families. That hands-on experience, including the hard days, shapes how he writes: honestly, without jargon, and with real respect for what people are going through.

At Psychologus, Tabraiz writes about personality, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, relationships and the everyday patterns that influence how people think, feel and behave. His goal is to take what psychology research actually says and turn it into clear, practical understanding readers can apply in their own lives, whether they're trying to make sense of their personality, support someone they love, or decide when it's time to seek professional help.

He is especially interested in how culture affects mental health, and in making reliable psychological knowledge accessible to readers in South Asia and beyond, where stigma and misinformation often stand between people and the help they need.
