Dr. Hazel Wagner has invested more than 25 years in education, technology, sales, and marketing. She now divides her time between running the technology consulting company that she founded and speaking and leading seminars on improving a company's thinking and collaboration skills. She speaks on business strategy, team building, creative brainstorming, and effective communication. She holds a Ph.D. in mathematics and an MBA in International Marketing and Finance. She has worked for major universities and public and private corporations. In July, 2000 she was named by I-Street magazine as one of the top 25 women in technology in the Chicago area.
Dr. Wagner has a wide-range of consulting, management, teaching, instructional design, and testing methodology experience. She has managed sales and marketing organizations, developed worldwide alliance programs, and taught adults in corporate environments and graduate schools of business, such as the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, DePaul University Graduate School of Business, and online for Cardean University. In addition, she has more than 20 years in marketing and sales for world leading companies such as General Electric Information Services, Digital Equipment, Oracle, Nortel, Edventions, and Metamor Technologies to name a few.
While at DEC, Dr. Wagner was extraordinarily successful in sales, winning the top international “DECathlon” awards, rising to become Director of Sales and Marketing Programs for the 17-state Central Region, and then worldwide Director of Consultant Industry Marketing. In that capacity, she structured corporate alliances, training programs for partners, and support functions for the consulting industry.
In 1992, Dr. Wagner founded B9D, Inc., a consulting company specializing in technology, telecommunications and consumer electronics businesses. B9D clients include a wide-range of companies, ranging from Internet start-up firms to Fortune 50 companies and international corporations.
