Julia Ahlers Ness is the founder of the Center for Healing Partnerships. She is a Spiritual Gardener, Healer and Teacher and a Certified Advanced Practitioner of the Christa Healing Method®.
She has been studying and working with co-creative partnerships with Nature and Spirit since 1993. She began her study and work with soil-less gardening in 2002.
Julia has a B.A. and a M.A. in Theology and continues to be a life-long Seeker of Truth. She finds great joy in helping people to feel more empowered, to find their true voice, to heal back to God and to blossom into their authentic, True Self.
Julia also loves to do soil-based gardening, spend time hiking and exploring with her husband Richard and their animal friends, and to cook and eat good food with friends and family.
The Center for Healing Partnerships has its roots in Julia’s own life journey and her constant desire to merge her Love for God and her Love for the Earth. Julia cherished growing up on the farm and was drawn to learn how to work with Nature. She was also driven to study theology in college and graduate school, where she focused on Holistic Stewardship of the Earth as the means of bringing Justice to People and the Land.
In 1993, health issues opened Julia to the worlds of holistic healing, meditation and yoga. She also began to learn how to work with Nature in a direct and conscious way from the publications of Machaelle Small Wright, founder of Perelandra Center for Nature Research.
In this exploratory mix, Julia found herself shifting from a Theology-based path to God to a Spirituality focus. She saw that she first needed to seek God in her heart and to allow her mind be led by her heart. For this to happen fully, she knew that deep healing was needed, especially as her self-understanding as a spiritual being expanded beyond what she had learned in traditional Christian theology.
In 1998, her chiropractor referred her to Adriene Wentworth, a Master Spiritual Healer and Teacher and developer of the Christa Healing Method®. Right away Julia knew that she had found a deeply effective and powerful tool for healing all parts of self, a tool for ultimately “healing back to God.”
Julia immediately began intensive study of the Christa Healing Method® with Adriene, first using the Method for her own spiritual healing process and then assisting friends and loved ones. By doing so, she discovered healing and teaching gifts she hadn’t before recognized within herself. In 2004, Julia reached the level of “Advanced Practitioner” and decided to embrace Spiritual Healing and Teaching as her vocation.
All along, Julia has seen the potential for combining her learnings in spiritual development and healing with her learnings in co-creative partnerships with Nature. She has let her own spiritual healing and development process be guided by a conscious working union between herself, Nature and Spirit.
Through the Center for Healing Partnerships, Julia now shares what she has learned, and is still learning, about how to work in co-creative partnership with Nature and Spirit to help people with their own spiritual healing journey.
"The only grace we can have is the grace we can imagine," paraphrased from Beloved ( p. 88) by Toni Morrison.
Spiritual healing is a necessary and integral part of the spiritual development process, the process by which we, as a Soul, mature and grow into the Fully Empowered Being that God created us to be.
