An Introduction to The Pathway to Love
Every relationship has a developmental path – a life cycle all its own. Understanding how relationships grow and thrive helps you navigate yours with more ease and grace. This includes interpersonal relationships at home, in the workplace, and in your community.
Julie Orlov presents the four phases of a developing relationship. Each phase has its own specific issues, tasks, and opportunities for growth and transformation. Through interactive discussions and activities, participants will learn how to transform their reactions into greater understanding and acceptance of themselves and others.
Communicating from Intention
One of the basic components to creating relationships that work is your ability to communicate effectively. It is very easy to get caught up in power struggles, fighting over the right to be right. Everyone wants to be heard and understood. Far too often misunderstandings block our pathway to creating positive connections with others. Whether you are relating to someone at work, at home, or in your greater social community, learning to communicate from intention is a must.
This presentation takes a look at all the traps that obstruct our way to clear communications. We will discuss ways to mitigate obstructions and proactively create greater understanding. In addition, specific communicating skills that address problem-solving and conflict-management will be presented.
Reclaiming Your Power
In order to establish healthy boundaries and make powerful choices, you first need to identify the values, needs, and wants that comprise your boundaries. This enables you to retain your integrity, accomplish your goals, and enhance your well-being. Even though you may believe you already know what you want and don’t want in your life, this doesn’t mean you act accordingly. Re-evaluating your values, needs and wants sets the stage for making choices that are in your best interest.
This presentation is highly participative. A process for Reclaiming Your Power will be introduced. At the end of the presentation, each participant will have created a clear understanding of their values, needs, and wants, as well as a specific strategy for maintaining healthy boundaries, self-respect and integrity.
