At the age of 42, Laine was awakened by a dream one night that forever changed her. Laine had no idea that her life would radically make a 360 degree turn and that she would be transformed into being a mouthpiece representing God for the rest of her life. Laine graduated from Mississippi State University with a B.S. degree. She married Steve Craft in 1987. They have been blessed by three beautiful children, Steven, Lawson, and Kaylee.
As life was dealing Laine some real hard challenges, she was becoming more desperate for God than ever. In 2004, Laine fell to her knees and asked the Lord to take over her life, everything- from her marriage, finances, dreams, and future. Steve and her rededicated their lives in it’s entirety to God and God not only transformed them into new creations but God showed up and showed out and continues to shower anointing on to them daily.
Laine founded Brown Bag Bible Buddies Ministry in September 2007, now WHOA Local, with the purpose of creating a safe place for women to take off their mask and hear personal testimonies of how God is working in women’s lives today. Laine was passionate in showing women that God is still restoring, healing, and showing up just like God did in Biblical times. Laine wanted women to know that they were not alone in the struggles of life like the enemy likes to lie and to tell us. So, Laine lines up women to speak and share personally, what they have overcome through many trials victoriously with the power of Jesus Christ. WHOA Local is a place where we hear God’s voice one story at a time by the real woman who experienced victory, not an actor or someone who studied it. Laine knew that women needed to hear from someone who has already been challenged with the trials of life so there could be real application and hope provided.
In 2009, Laine launched WHOAwomen, Women who Hear, Obey, and Act on God’s word. This would be the national venue for WHOAwomen to go internationally. WHOAwomen encourages women on every level to use their unique gift God gave them and to act on it. WHOAwomen challenges women to help others in need with the actions God has called us to do as Christ followers. Laine is the Host of the WHOA Show, a talk show that discusses contemporary and relevant issues that offers sound spiritual solutions, soon to premiere on UP Network. Laine publishes a quarterly magazine that is written by women from all over the country for women, called WHOAwomen Magazine. WHOAwomen Magazine is available at Barnes and Noble, Family Christian Bookstores, and many more retail outlets, online, Ipad, Iphone, and Android. WHOAwomen Magazine addresses relevant issues and topics through articles and stories with sound, spiritual applications. Laine travels to speak and encourage women nationally, offering HOPE and application every time she speaks. She communicates with humor, approachability, off the scale energy, transparency, and authenticity.
Laine and Steve have been married 26 years, they have been touched by God on a deep personal level, and have experienced a totally restored marriage. They enjoy lots of coffee, outdoors, family, friends, and parenting.
