Former managing editor of California's oldest continuously published weekly, Laurie J. Brenner shares her insights, experiences, and stories across the web through her many articles and websites. Author of The Little Book of Becoming-The Primer to Living Inside out, and the award-winning Changing Planes, a metaphysical fiction, both available on Amazon.com.
Brenner lives with her husband Gordon in the home they built using the law of attraction to do so. Though neither one of them had any construction experience, (he, a retired water treatment plant operator and she an office girl) nor scads of money, they were able to create their three-story dream home on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada, just a red tail hawk's flight south of Lake Tahoe.
Armed with nothing more than Spirit and fierce determination, this project took three years to complete. While subcontractors were called in for grading, foundation, roof trusses, sheetrock, HVAC and carpeting, Gordon did the rest - framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, tiling, painting, cabinetry and all finish work with the help of Laurie on weekends.
Named Wildwind after the free spirit that roams through her, Brenner and her husband share their 10-acre piece of heaven with two dogs, four cats, deer, turkey, squirrels, a mated pair of red tail hawks, coyotes and a myriad of other creatures from the seen and unseen realms of nature.
Thirty years a practioner of metaphysics and new age thinking, Brenner is excited about all the changes taking place right now in our world. With the advent of movies like The Secret, What the Bleep Do You Know, Conversations with God, The Celestine Propecy, and The Peaceful Warrior hitting the mainstream consciousness, change is occuring at a rapid pace.
"More and more people are beginning to accept that we are more than just physical beings having a spiritual experience. They are learning that we truly are spiritual beings having a physical experience," she says.
With this knowledge, an Age of Transformation, The New Age, The Quantum Age has truly taken root and is growing quickly. This is the Age for which we have all been waiting.
Our Native American brothers and sisters call those who lead this march into The New Age, the Rainbow Warriors - a group of people from all nations and colors. We are one people, one planet, with one future.
We are who we have been waiting for.
I am on the path of becoming a human being which to me means that I am a spiritual being having a physical experience. I know that we are all related, that all of us, good and bad come from the same Source and love powers this universe.
If we but open our hearts we will understand that the Universe provides for us all. To have and experienc more of those things in your life that you truly desire - one needs only to open to Source, develop a relationship with It and begin the conscious communication.
I'm not talking religion here, because unfortunately most of the world's religions prevent you or stand between you and your Source and they ask that you pay admittance of some kind.
I stand here today to tell you that the most important relationship you can develop is with Your Source, however you deem that to be and no-one, not one thing can stand in your way or tell you how or what that should be.
Only you can know for you.
