“We don’t give thanks because we are happy—we are happy because we give thanks.”
This quote sums up how Linda Lee Leipply lives her life. And LIVE is the operative word because Linda is a person who exemplifies ‘walking the walk’. Not one to take anything for granted or complain when life has dealt a setback, Linda always finds a way to make lemonade out of lemons and comedy out of tragedy.
Case in point—last year both of Linda’s knees were broken when she was struck by a car. Rather than feel victimized, Linda embraced the experience as a wake-up call, realizing that being unable to walk was a metaphor for ‘not moving forward’ and fully living her true purpose. She used the accident to propel her out of inertia and started giving her gifts of joy and play through workshops, retreats and one-on-one coaching. Her upcoming book Mystic Nourishment, scheduled for release in 2009, is sure to evoke laughter and inspiration.
Live, Laugh, Rejoice!
Besides spending quality time with her two daughters and 8 grandchildren, Linda pours the rest of her energy and love into her business, Fun-Wey (www.fun-wey.com). Using the mediums of writing, coaching, workshops and retreats, Linda empowers women to make themselves a priority with guilt-free self-nurturing.
She provides a safe space for women to let go of restraints, struggles and self-defeating limitations and experience breakthroughs that re-awaken and ignite their innate gift of play.
“....had a BLAST!! I did things that I wouldn’t haven’t done in…well, decades…little things like getting down on the floor and playing with my dog and bigger things like taking the initiative and calling my friends letting them know I was on a mission to have fun this weekend and did they want to join me. Apparently, I’m not the only one who has forgotten how to have fun – well, we got our memories back this weekend. Thank you Linda – you have started something magical!!"
Lorraine Mock, July 2007
Despite still having some pain from the accident, Linda’s effervescence is ever present and contagious. You won’t hear complaining—rather you will hear her say: “Have a happy day, and don't forget to PLAY!”
Linda’s life mission can be summed up by the words of stress management and humor consultant, Loretta LaRoche: ‘Life is short—wear your party pants’.
