Dr. Marilyn Bruno holds a B.A. (Mount Holyoke College), M.A. and Ph.D. (New York University) and J.D. (New York Laws School). Among many other professional certifications, she was licensed in stock, commodity, insurance, and real estate brokerage.
Dr. Bruno is an entrepreneur. She is President of Bruno Consulting, Inc., offering consulting services since 1984 on international business, investment, and trade issues. She is on the Board of Directors of Aequor, Inc., a start-up company holding patents on marine microbes. She was the founder and President of The Tradetech Exchange, Inc., the first on-line international trading system. She has lectured around the world in English and Spanish, and has published in several languages.
Dr. Bruno served 14 years in the U.S. diplomatic corps, working on economic policy issues in the State Department’s Foreign Service abroad and in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Bruno worked 8 years in the private sector in stock and commodity brokerage and banking. She has lectures extensively in English and Spanish around the world.
Dr. Bruno worked 10 years in academia, as Assistant Director of New York University’s study abroad program in Madrid, Spain, and Adjunct Professor of Medieval to 17th Century Spanish Literature at NYU.
Dr. Bruno has actively volunteered for over 40 years, including pro bono work for AARP’s Legal Council for the Elderly and Florida Alliance for Aging's SHINE Program (providing health insurance information to elders), State Department Mentor, and docent at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.

MESSAGE FROM DR. BRUNO:
So many people ask about the name of my domain, “Gynosapiens.” What does it mean? It simply means “Thinking Woman.”
I instinctively associate myself and my work with this definition. From as far back as I can remember, I knew that my pattern of thinking was simply different than that of most people -- “Homo sapiens” – the Thinking Man. When I was a pre-schooler, observing my brilliant older brother, I was amazed by the empirical way he reached conclusions. Unable to keep up with this wiz kid by conventional logic, I found myself beating my brother to the same conclusions by what my brother called the “quantum leap.”
I describe this “quantum leap” as intuition, the ability to “see” the answer without necessarily being able to explain why. Over the years, I have seen, foreseen, envisioned, and concluded many things that were not evident to anybody else until years (and even decades) later. I have not stopped learning and earning credentials in many disciplines, dramatically augmenting my insights.
My theory on "Gyno sapiens" goes as follows: Projecting back in time to prehistoric days, Gyno sapiens was the “missing link” – a woman with survival skills based on foresight, intuition, and ingenuity that compensated for her natural physical weaknesses. Her genes contributed to advance Neanderthal Man to Thinking Man. I am certain that some day, an anthropologist will discover Gyno sapiens and identify the genes that are today recessive in all of us, giving us the ability to look at things differently, foreseeing future outcomes thanks to a quantum leap.
