Tim is a Presbyterian minister who has specialized in counseling, education and retreat leadership for over 20 years. Pastoral counseling is a discipline that integrates the insights of psychology and behavioral sciences with the resources of faith and spirituality.
He is executive director of Four Springs, a northern California retreat known for its seminars in Jungian psychology and the teachings of Jesus. A life-long student of the teachings of Jesus, Tim also has a deep appreciation for other spiritual traditions.
Tim is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and completed a Ph.D. in Theology and Personality at the Claremont School of Theology. He was a resident in pastoral care at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, and has been a counselor with Samaritan Counseling Centers in Upland and Palo Alto, CA.
He is currently in practice as a pastoral counselor with the Napa office of the Lloyd Center, affiliated with San Francisco Theological Seminary, and is a coach with the seminary's Coaching for Leadership program, serving pastors in the western United States.
He is also a retreat and seminar leader at Four Springs, and a popular guest speaker with congregations and other groups in the Bay Area of northern California.
