I am a married mother of two awesome boys. I am a third time wife and I'm having the time of my life this time around. My first marriage began at the age of 19 and ended by the time I was 25. The marriage was emotionally abusive, but not physically; however, the second marriage was both. Thankfully I got out of the second marriage faster than the first and I am a better person for it. (No kids from the second trip.)
My husband and I met in 1979 and although it took us 17 years to get it together, we finally did and the rest, as they say, is history. I have never been happier than I have been in the last almost 15 years. Jeff and I went to different schools together and have known each other since we were teens.
I advocate online to help women who are at a place I once was. I understand the things they go through, physically and emotionally, and I may be able to help their heads, if not their hearts. I know it isn't easy to get out, but I know it can be done.
I know about self doubt, fear and negative esteem. I know why women stay and I am here to tell them that they don't have to. I am willing to share my story.
My oldest child, now 21, is a product of my first marriage. I did not have another child until eight years later when I married the love of my life. He, my youngest child, is now 13.
Relationships take work, but they should not be painful and they should not be a struggle.
I've been there, done that and burned the T-shirt. I may be able to help you do the same. I am not a professional counselor or therapist, but I have gone through it all and I'm here to say that life can be better; it will take some effort and courage.

Work is not work when you love what you do.
If you are strong enough to take it, you are stong enough to make it stop.
