In May 1999, Dr Classen first sounded the alarm relative to vaccines giving children diabetes, with his letter to the British Medical Journal (BMJ) Interestingly, this letter is no longer on the BMJ website, so I had to go searching the Internet Archive again and yes, it is there;
“We initiated and funded a collaborative study with Tuomilehto on the effect of the Hemophilus vaccine on insulin dependent diabetes (IDDM) and found the data supports a causal relationship between the vaccine and the development of IDDM.
Furthermore the potential risk of the vaccine exceeds the potential benefit.”
"My data proves that the studies used to support immunization are so flawed that it is impossible to say if immunization provides a net benefit to anyone or to society in general. This question can only be determined by proper studies which have never been performed. The flaw of previous studies is that there was no long term follow up and chronic toxicity was not looked at. The American Society of Microbiology has promoted my research...and thus acknowledges the need for proper studies."
"The long-term complications of diabetes make it a fatal disease, so what we see here is a kill ratio of three to one," said Classen. "We are killing about three kids for every one kid that would benefit from the vaccine....The more vaccines you are exposed to, the greater your risk of diabetes. It's more than just an association, because we can give these vaccines to animals and cause diabetes...I am very confident that we have proven that vaccines are causing diabetes. We have tons of data now to support this, including randomized, controlled clinical trials."
