5 Clues That Your Girlfriend Is Cheating

Can't put a finger on it, but is something a little weird regarding your relationship with your girlfriend lately? Gut feelings mean something – your girl may be cheating on you. Besides that gut feeling, there are other signs you should be aware of. Don't be hasty, though, these are just signs. You need evidence before you pass any accusations.

Have you seen a sudden change in appearance? Maybe a bit more glamorous? That could be an indicator she's cheating. An appearance upgrade could be a sign that your lady is cheating on you. Perhaps your girl was the “girl next door” type. Hmmm. Then, bang! She starts wearing fancy clothes and starts spending a lot of time in front of the mirror. Women want to be attractive, but they can start to overdo it if they've got something on their minds. You probably remember how she used to dress “to-the-nines” when she wanted to turn your head. Check it out. Is she making an effort to look really hot on her supposed night out with the girls?

A second sign may be the amount of time she starts spending away from you. Is “going out with the girls” starting to be more of a habit than it used to be? That could very well be another indicator that your girl's cheating on you. A sudden change in schedule, like spending more time at work or with friends, could mean that your girl is cheating. Spending more and more of her free time with others rather than you, usually means the relationship is on the rocks or she's cheating.

Perhaps you've noticed that she's not as “cozy” as she used to be. Not as intimately playful as she used to be. That may be your third tip-off that she's cheating. As a rule, women are affectionate creatures, so something is probably wrong if the loving diminishes or disappears. Did she once approach you with tenderness? Is that attitude gone? That too could be a sign that she's cheating. Perhaps she doesn't kiss you goodbye any more. Maybe she seems like a robot when she's trying to show affection.

Perhaps the folks that you and your girl used to hang out with are starting to avoid you. That could be the fourth indicator. Perhaps when you try to talk to her best girlfriend, she doesn't have much to say or tries to melt away. Are her colleagues at work giving you the cold shoulder? Don't overly press those who have been dodging you, but gently grab them by the elbow and ask them to talk to you about your girlfriend.

When she starts telling lies to cover her tracks, that's your fifth and most obvious signal. Are your girlfriend's lies starting to catch up with her? Often, cheaters will lean on their friends for alibis or other lies. If somebody's cheating they must become liars so they can try to get away with what they're doing. Too much detail. Too much explanation. These are both obvious signs of a lie. The truth about lies is that they are the best tip-off that your girl is cheating on you.

These signs are pretty good evidence of what's going on, but you need solid evidence before you start making accusations. Otherwise, you'll be turning yourself into a big jerk.
