We all have an energy ‘vibration’. The way I understand it, our vibration is a combination of our mood, beliefs, attitudes and connection to the universe. It works alongside the law of attraction and the belief that what we think is what we attract.

If your life is in a real mess, you are unhappy and nothing is working out it is safe to assume you are vibrating at a low level. Your thinking may be that of ‘poor me’ and you are dragging your feet. If from this state you consciously decide to change how you think, you will gradually also change the external circumstances of your life. The world around you is a reflection of your most dominant thoughts. If you aren’t happy with your life circumstances you only need to look at what you have been thinking about most regularly. If you’ve spent lots of time thinking about problems and things you don’t want, its no surprise they have manifested in your reality. You need to turn your thinking to what you DO want, SOLUTIONS to problems, things you want to achieve, how you want things to work out – not worrying about if they don’t. If you want your life to keep getting more and more amazing, you need to constantly be working at raising your vibration higher and higher. Make sure you:

*Read things that inspire you (mind stretching stuff, not gossip mags!)
*Constantly monitor your thoughts (your mind is a garden that often needs weeding)
*Seek wisdom through books, the bible, meditation etc
*Surround yourself with positive people – you will notice how much better you feel
*Radiating kindness (which I wrote about here) is a great way to raise your vibration.
*Visualisation is also very powerful. If you do visualisations about what you really want in your life that make you feel the emotions as if they were really happening, you will be raising your vibration. After visualisation you will feel excited and pumped – you just experienced fully in your mind what achieving goal X feels like, you know it’s possible – that’s powerful and exciting.
*Write a gratitude list everyday to keep your thinking in the right place. List all the things you are grateful for. It could be the jug that boils for your coffee, the fact that you can walk and handkerchiefs for being so convenient!

There are plenty of people in the world that are walking testimonials of the power of the mind. Sports people use visualisation (and have for years). Louise Hay (the author of ‘You Can Heal Your Life’) cured herself of cancer with no medical treatment by cleaning up her thoughts (she believes she manifested the cervical cancer from holding resentments from childhood sexual abuse). There was another guy (I’ve forgotten his name) that cured himself of cancer TWICE using laughter therapy – he watched funny movies all day and laughed himself better. Science can’t explain these things – but having a high vibration and control over your mind can.

I highly recommend Louise Hay’s book. Along with:
*Manifest your Destiny by Wayne Dyer
*Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting by Lynn Grabhorn
*The Secret by Rhonda Byrne

There is a book specifically about our vibration level called “Power vs. Force” by David Hawkins. It is quite a heavy, academically written book, if you are keen – go for it reading this too! Steve Pavlina has written a great piece here about levels of consciousness which explains Power vs. Force well. He follows up with a piece about raising your consciousness.

Think about what kind of energy vibration you have and what you’d like to have. If you want to be positive and excited about life while receiving more and more blessings – raise your level of vibration.
