One of my students commented I don’t talk much about reiki any more; and this took me by surprise. I recall people groaning as I incessantly spoke of the wonderful new world of Reiki for years! Perhaps now after 19 years, I tend not to talk about it because it has become such a deep part of me, an integrated natural reality like breathing. My name is Lena and, like many women today, I started thinking about motherhood much later in my life. I met my husband in Costa Rica 12 years ago and it was love at first sight. Shortly after we met, he gave up a great teaching job, sold his house and his car and moved to Califo ia to be with me. We married a few years later and our first few years together were filled with our busy careers and lots of adventures around the globe.

Is it possible that the healer within is a spirit being that coexists within our human host body? If this is possible, could this healer within be the one that exists beyond the body? Or is it as others believe that we are only the physical body that ceases to exist after death? There are many people who believe that we survive after death. I personally believe that a spirit being does live within my human body. Both my animal body and myself have a shared experience. With Thanksgiving coming up this month it’s a good time to reflect on the history of Thanksgiving, on the meaning of gratitude and how we can incorporate a more thankful attitude in our own lives. Money and spirituality don’t mix. Or so many “spiritual” folks would have you think. I lived a monk’s existence for many years, and was in deep denial about my limiting beliefs about money and the impact of this pattern of energetic and financial depletio I often found myself in. I surrounded myself with like-minded souls who felt called to a life of service and spiritual growth, and many also with a similar poverty consciousness.

I don't know about you, but I get annoyed when I look for self esteem boosters, and all I find are things like, "get a makeover", or "just think positive thoughts about yourself". A makeover only lasts for so long, and if you could think more positively, wouldn't you be doing it already?

Be aware right away that I am not talking about scary or cold or "other side" chills here, but rather the "good chills" most of us experience with music and/or words of truth. This is about a phenomenon most people feel and forget----hense-----hiding in plain sight. When I was discussing the "good" chills energy with a gentleman named Rod from England recently, he noted that he had had a life changing experience with the chills energy which he also referred to as the tingles. Secret of High Energy Living The term energy crisis is not limited to melting ice caps and carbon footprints; it can show up much closer to home. One of the major issues affecting relationships and health in the 21st century is lack of energy. Personal energy levels seem to be on the decline, with people frequently complaining about not having enough energy or time to fully enjoy life. Hello! Here I am again, this time writing about the heart chakra. I am now half way through writing about the chakras - and the heart is indeed the bridge between the lower three chakras, which are more to do with the physical plane, and the higher three chakras which link us to the divine and the heavenly energies. The heart chakra is located in the centre of the chest; a healthy balanced heart chakra means we are able to give and receive love. When we are unbalanced in this chakra, we can be cynical, distrusting, feeling unloved and out of touch with the softness of life.

We all have experiences that are deeply painful or frighten us. Some feel anguish from loved ones; others from a stranger. Some people feel taken advantage of in their most vulnerable states, while others experience violent assault. Some have had the intensity of a single trauma while others have sustained years of pain until the circumstances could finally change. In all these situations, the thing most needed now is the ability to move on. Part of moving on ultimately means to forgive.

This morning I woke up very early and couldn’t sleep anymore, so I decided to just lie in my bed and meditate a bit. I had gone through a very difficult break up in the last year, and even though it’s almost a year ago I still haven’t been able to let go of my fears of a new relationship or the new commitments that would come with it. So this morning I decided to meditate on relationships and love.

What if he is trapped in his Jeep and can’t get out? Visions of the Jeep hanging upside down over a guard rail- the driver side door smashed into the passenger seat. I bet he has been drinking. I must share a story about a wonderful woman that I met on my healing retreat with Joao de Texeira de Faria (John of God) in October of 2009. I was having breakfast with my 12 year old daughter, in the dining hall at Omega (Holistic Healing Center in upstate NY) when I saw a woman walking in my general direction. As I have grow I realize this means all the sowing we do begins with a thought. Every thought we sow has a vibrational frequency to it, and is magnetic. Notes to Myself Living Mindfully I was relaxing on the beach yesterday reading a good book. I saw myself in the main character. I was rooting for her, wondering how she was going to resolve her challenges. I thought about my current issues and I sat for a moment wondering how it would all work out.
