FOR KIDS - sucking thumb is an inborn habit of many kids, but this causes the oral infection, this is so because infant touches many things, and wash their hands seldom (if and only if are caught by mothers). Hence the germs get into their stomach from their fingers and create infection. Moreover the jaws structure also get modified (tends to become higher) with sucking thumb.
The over intake of chocolates, and then lacking the habit of proper brushing also comes under this category. This in the long run may even result into the stained teeth, which can however be removed with teeth whitening kits. But one cannot apply the whitening kits, when young! So, you have to be very careful when dealing with the kids, and take the special care so that they develop the habit of washing their teeth properly after each food intake.

Besides the biting of raw lemons is also harmful for the teeth, this is so because lemons have high acidic content that results into teeth erosion.
Running after the trend of having beautiful white smile, many brush their teeth too hard, thinking this will remove the stains. But this is not at all true; brushing your teeth can only help in the removal of the germs and the food remains, cleaning the teeth. The fluoride (main composition in most of the toothpaste) is just a mild abrasive that helps us cleaning the teeth. While on the contrary, hydrogen peroxide or Carbamide Peroxide is used for whitening the teeth.
Never use your teeth to open the tags, button or opening sealed container! These breaks the teeth or even fracture of the jaws.
