If someone was to think about changing the world, what could come to mind are all the things that they could do. This could be seen as the only way for them to have an impact on what is taking place out there.

Sitting around and waiting for things to change could be seen as the only other option that is available. Then again, if another option was to come to mind, it could involve someone who is rich and/or powerful making a difference.

A Common View

In most societies around the world, this is likely to be an outlook that is the rule as opposed to the exception. The person above is then going to be surrounded by people who also see life in the same way, at least in this regard.

So, when it comes to what is going on out there, they, along with most of their fellow citizens, will have very little to do with it. They are likely to see themselves as nothing more than an observer of their reality.

A Random World

By being a passive observer of it, most of what takes place in their own life will just happen and most of what takes place on the earth will also just happen. Or, if they don’t have this view, there will be certain people who have control over their life and the planet.

Either way, both they and most people on the planet will be nothing more than victims of circumstances. Therefore, the people at the top, so to speak, will be the ones who have the greatest ability to change how things are.

A Passive State

As this view is so common, it is not a surprise that so many people feel pretty helpless when it comes to how the world is and their ability to make a difference. If someone doesn’t feel helpless, they can just end up being indifferent to what is going on.

This will be a way for them to protect themselves and no longer have to experience the pain of feeling helpless. What is clear is that being this way will make it hard for them to feel alive.

A Sense of Separation

Another way of looking at all this would be to say that in a society like this, someone will be separate from everyone and everything. This is then why taking action and doing things will be the only way to have an impact on the world.

However, what if this sense of separation is a product of their ego and is an illusion? And instead of someone simply observing what is going on out there, what if they are actually observing their own creation?

Back To Front

If this is the case, it would mean that someone, along with their fellow human beings, is not a victim of circumstances. It would mean that they are a powerful co-creator of their reality and together, with others, they are defining what takes place on the planet.

What is going on out there will be a reflection of what is taking place internally for humanity. With this in mind, purely focusing on the issues that are out there and overlooking the issues that are on the inside will be a waste of both time and energy.

An Analogy

It will be the equivalent of endlessly focusing on and mopping up the water that is on a kitchen floor. Without dealing with the leak itself, the water will continue to appear.

Now, removing this water can allow someone to feel good and as though they have achieved something, and this will be necessary for them to use the kitchen, but it won’t truly resolve anything. After a while, they could up moving home and the next owners could do the same thing.

The Same Old Story

When it comes to the last part, this will relate to the fact that once one generation has given up, the next generation will inherit a number of the same issues and continue to do the same thing. At this point, someone could wonder how their inner world impacts their outer world.

What they will need to keep in mind is that although they and everyone and everything else look solid, this is also an illusion. At the root, all that appears as solid is made up of vibrating energy.

The Law of Resonance

When it comes to their vibration, this will be influenced by their thoughts, feelings, emotions and beliefs. What is going on inside them will then serve as a magnet that pulls in people, places, circumstances and events that are an energetic match.

With this in mind, for there to be war, conflict and misery out there, it has to exist inside a certain amount of people’s inner world. If the world was filled with people who were in harmony, at peace and full of love, the external world would reflect this.

Two Parts

What will make it hard for someone to see this connection is that on one level, the level of their conscious mind, they can be full of ‘goodness’ and do a lot of the ‘right’ things. But, when it comes to the unconscious mind, the part of them that is far bigger and more powerful than their conscious mind, they can be full of ‘badness’.

This part of them will contain painful feelings and the parts of themselves that are seen as bad and unacceptable, among other things. Their conscious mind will be oblivious to what is held inside this part of their consciousness but it will still influence their reality and feed into the collective consciousness and thus, what takes place on the planet.

Final Thoughts

Purely focusing on what is going on out there is highly appealing as it will allow someone to avoid themselves and potentially receive a lot of positive feedback. Yet, if they are not dealing with their own baggage, they won’t be as effective as they would be otherwise.

In fact, they can end up doing more harm than good, or at the very least, help to sustain the very reality that they want to change. What this comes down to is that what is resisted is what will persist and trying to change the world is an example of resistance.

If they were to see the external world as a mirror that is reflecting back what they need to resolve inside themselves, they will be playing their part. This will allow them to be the change that they want to see, instead of trying to change their own reflection.
