Although someone will have both a head and a body and will, therefore, experience both thoughts and feelings, it doesn’t mean that they will be able to relate to this. In general, they could live up top and only be aware of their thoughts and perhaps different sensations.

They are then going to look like a whole human being but they won’t operate like one. By being this way, it is likely to be a challenge for them to feel connected to life and others and to even feel alive.

Back To the Self

Regardless of whether they are aware of it or not, they are going to spend most if not all of their time in a disconnected state. So, the reason they won’t feel connected to anything ‘out there’ is because they won’t feel connected to their own body.

If they were connected to their body and their feelings, it would allow them to feel connected to the world and others. This connection would also allow them to feel real and deeply alive.

The Norm

Now, if someone is in this position and doesn’t realise what is going on, it can be hard to comprehend. After all, if someone is in a disconnected state, it should stand out.

Nevertheless, if they have more or less always been this way, there is going to be no reason for them to be aware of what is going on and to realise that something isn’t right. Ergo, for how they are experiencing life to stand out, something significant may need to take place.

A Similar Position

When it comes to the people in their life, that’s if they have any close friends, they could also be disconnected from themselves. But, even if they are pretty isolated, they could live in a society that is very mind-centred.

This will then be a society where repression is normal and the intellect is held in high regard. With there being such a big focus on this part of a human being, being a very heady human being typically won’t stand out.

A Bleak Existence

Yet, while being this way can allow one to function well in some areas and perform certain jobs well, it will be at a great cost. As they don’t feel close or connected to others, due to being disconnected from themselves, they are likely to often feel lonely.

Also, they may often feel deeply depressed and even suicidal, and life might not appear to have any meaning. To say that they will often feel deeply deprived could be an understatement, with them missing out on the nutrients that human connection would provide them.

Searching For Answers

If they were to reach out, after suffering perhaps for a number of decades, they could end up speaking to their doctor about what is going on for them. This can be a time when they will say that they often feel depressed, sometimes feel anxious and at times, are nihilistic.

The outcome of this is that they could end up being put on medication, which is unlikely to allow them to truly understand what is going on for them. If anything, it might just make the hell that they are living more bearable.

Another Route

Conversely, they could end up looking online for answers, and by doing this they could gradually come to the conclusion that there was a stage of their life when they were deeply traumatised. Thanks to how overwhelming this stage of their life was, they ended up disconnected from their body and, in the process, their feelings.

Perhaps their childhood was a time when they were abused and/or neglected; either way, it would have been too much for their underdeveloped nervous system and brain to handle. They would have gone from being firmly rooted in their body to being firmly rooted in their head, causing them to become a self-alienated, divided being.

Even Further Back

If this was the case, they would have been connected to their body when they were born and lost touch with themselves as the days, weeks and months went by. There is, however, the chance that they were separate from their body before they were even born.

It might be hard for them to accept how this would be so but it would show that their time in their mother’s womb wasn’t very harmonious. This would have been a time when they were deeply traumatised.

Where it All Began

For whatever reason, they might not have been able to bond with their mother. So instead of being connected to her, receiving the physical and emotional nutrients that they needed, and feeling safe and secure, they would have often felt overwhelmed.

As their nervous system was even more underdeveloped at this stage, it wouldn’t have taken much for them to be overwhelmed. To handle this, there would have been a disconnection from themselves and along with this, their mother.

Nothing New

What they experienced after they were born would then have just been another layer on top of what they had already experienced. They would have already been in a disconnected state.

As they were unable to bond with their mother in her womb, it might not have mattered if they were able to bond with her as a child. They would have been in a shut down, disconnected state and unable to receive what they needed to be able to grow and develop.

If someone can relate to this and they are ready to change their life, they may need to reach out for external support. This is something that can be provided with the assistance of a therapist or healer.
