Energy Meditation
This form of meditation focuses your attention on how everything is made up of energy. It is a simple meditation that is beneficial for your body, mind and spirit. Physically and emotionally this meditation will help you lower stress levels and create a feeling of liberation and perfect peace. If practised regularly, it can help you to develop self-awareness and a greater awareness of everything around you, this can help increase your levels of appreciation for others and life in general. It will also help you connect at a spiritual level to all that is and experience your part in all.
Energy Meditation Practise
-Prepare for the meditation- You can burn incense, play music, anything that you find helps you. Make sure you will not be disturbed for a short while.
-Make sure you are warm and in a comfortable position, this can be sitting or laying down.
-When you are ready focus on your breathing and begin to breathe slowly and easily, feeling any cares or worries draining away with each outward breath.
-Allow yourself to be in this pleasant state for a little while, just focusing on the breath, relaxing and letting go. There is no rush.
- When you feel calm and centered, begin to think of the things around you as energy; your bed, your room, things in the house, plants, people, animals, etc. Just visualise them all as balls of energy, moving in space and time. They may appear in your mind as colours, waves, however you view them is fine.
-Continue to do this and expand outside of your home, the garden, the street, people around, plants, parks, etc. Everything everywhere is energy and it is vibrating at its own frequency.
-Then bring your attention and focus to you, in the centre of all this energy and vibration. See your skin, your body, all as energy.
-Feel the oneness and at the same time the uniqueness of everything. All is energy, all is one.
-Continue doing this for as long as you feel comfortable or is necessary.
- When you are ready to return, slowly allow the energy images to fade and visualise you and all things as they normally appear.
-Breathe slowly and deeply.
-Gently move your hands, feet and body, take your time and have a drink of water.

You may need to practise this meditation a few times to really start feeling the benefits of it, but it is well worth it. It doesn’t take much time and can be a relaxing and peaceful experience.
