Essence of Truth Realized by Ma-Mahajnan (Two)

Knowledge Emanates From Energy:

Knowledge is the male-principle--all the manifestation of knowledge is derived from seminal vigor. The female-principle is energy because it is the container. Which comes first, knowledge or energy? Knowledge derives from energy. If we unerringly probe, we find energy at the root of things. Since knowledge has a big office, it gets more publicity. Energy is a little subdued.
Prosad: Well, you say, the male is a sword unsheathed and the female is that sheath. In that sense one is knowledge and the other is energy.
Mother: Then a form of energy shuts in the sword. What does it look like? Well, a sheath. It goes up and shuts it in. but which is the more talked about of the two? The sword. It commits murder.
Now say, if this sheath was not there, who would have guided the sword? Who is the energy behind that sword? That sheath. The moment a sword was thought of, a sheath for it was also thought of. Both have their uses.
It has an edge, right. It is a sword, right again. But the thing is, the sword is losing its edge. Woman has some such things which belong to energy-principle. She dominates everything by her energy.
Well, take this for example. The male-principle knowledge takes over certain places, but in case of certain others it gets stuck. When stuck like that, it strikes out a new path by dint of knowledge. Even then it gets talked about that it fell down at such and such place. And by means of energy it has been lifted from that place. That's energy-principle.
Prosad: That's it. If that happens to be your views, mother, knowledge and energy are inseparable, aren't they? Then why do we lead a single life? When there's no knowledge without energy, what then? We are here bound on that quest for knowledge, aren't we? Then where's that energy-principle by our side?
Mother: Well, now say. That energy may come to your side. It should. But it doesn't. Knowledge ponders over the matter; we won't be able to accompanied by energy. What energy needs as its fuel, we cannot provide that. We can't meet its expenses. There knowledge ponders. From what it finds, it wears away from the energy-principle.
Now tell me. That energy-principle has come near you. It has come as Super-energy-principle. Well, that sheath has, indeed, come to you. Has come in the form of Super-sheath. That Sheath hasn't come matching any particular sword.
Prosad: Should you say then that those who didn't get you in life or in whose life there's none like you, their knowledge will be misused?
Mpther: Yes, has been misused. Is misused, will be misused. What a man has got a woman hasn't. You being a man need that woman—when you draw upon that balance. She has much to give.
Here you are being given much more you can get from the sheath. No matter if the sword happens to be unsheathed. You put a sword in a sheath but for how long? Eh? But what she does is to put up a canopy over the whole circle. Put up a shed. A roof of concrete. He fenced in the entire area with a kind of sheath, as it were.
Prosad: Then there is going to be a row among all the swords that remain under the canopy.
Mother: Right. Has she done it good and proper? And then put them under a cover. But she isn't fitting it up each and everybody. She is doing so as a whole. Such a big canoIy. Again, why do you talk of each and everybody individually? Well, the canopy covers each one of them. How can it cover just as a whole!
Super energy. It is not just energy. That is to say, woman. That woman has come into your life. Now, who is that woman? Mother. She is going on offering you everything. Right? Well, you feel a want in one place. She's piling up things over that area in abundant measure. You stand on top of that pile and look down—down below.—"We stand on a still higher level." You come down to this low level. I don't mind. The Super energy-principle doesn't object. Come down. Mother, too, doesn't object.
Prosad: Still, mother, reality will have, indeed, one thing to say. Even though filled with knowledge of all kinds, I am going without knowledge of a particular kind. That knowledge comes from the unified life of man and woman.
Mother: It is concerning that. Aren't you asked to look down from the height? Isn't the judgment on so many things being flung down? Through that judgment it is said, 'You come down to this low level. I don't mind. The Super-Energy- principle doesn't object. Mother too doesn't.
But once you come down, you will have to shoulder all responsibility. You can't say 'no' there. If you give heed to one word of mother's, you'll have to give heed to another word of hers. Mother doesn't say 'no'. I don't indeed say 'no'.
The clash which will occur and the heat it will generate, you'll have to bear the heat. You say at that point—"No, I am a man of understanding. I can't bear the heat. My skin is so very thin that it will get scorched. My white membrane will be exposed if I get scorched. It'll smart." But she isn't going to dissuade you against it.
