Proper preparation prevents poor performance, but we have to adjust to those things that are unexpected and try to handle them with the same expertise as the things that we have prepared for. Things rarely go the exact way we plan, but that doesn’t mean that all hope is lost. Planning is always good to have an outline or road map to your desired destination or goal, but we have be ready to face forks in the road and also avenues that have been closed during our planning or without our knowledge. The plan was never the thing we were striving to reach, so when our vehicle (plan) is not able to get us to our destination, we have to adjust to the situation we face. We sometimes have to avoid using a part of a plan we have made, change certain parts of the plan to fit, create a new plan in the middle of a journey, or make decisions that need an immediate response. Obstacles and things going wrong doesn’t make goals unreachable, unthinkable, or impossible; it just means that we have to be more creative, flexible and acceptable to change. There might be several different ways to accomplish the things that we desire, so we should not give up. If we stay committed to our goals we will reach them, although we might have to change directions. We have to stay open and flexible enough to use alternate means to see success. By all means, we can not lose focus. Keep moving towards the vision. http://www.SeeingGrowth.com
