Do thoughts of negativity constantly bombard you?

Do feelings of insecurity overwhelm you?

Do you view everything in a negative manner?

If this is you, the reason why you are like this has now become embedded deep within you.

We cannot deny that we are what we consume, physically and mentally.

If a person smokes, or drinks too much alcohol or eats excessive amounts of junk food, their body will be affected in some way. And the effect on their health is directly related to how much of these activities they indulge in.

In the same way, a person who constantly feeds themselves negative thoughts will simply turn into a negative person.

To overcome this you need to feed yourself a diet of positive attitude. Try to determine which of your thoughts are negative - and which are positive.

But how to tell what negative thoughts are like?

Well, they start with ‘can't’ rather than with ‘can’, they use ‘no’ as opposed to ‘yes’, and use ‘will’ and instead of ‘ won't’

In addition to examining your own thoughts to determine which are negative and which are positive, seek assistance from someone in your life who knows you well - your spouse or a close friend.

Ask them to be totally honest and to rate your attitude on a scale of 1 to 10 - with 10 being super positive and 1 being super negative. Ask this person what things you specifically say that they perceive as being negative. Their honesty may be painful for you but it will lead you towards making significant changes in your attitudes to everything.

Your next step is to write down what they say and look at the words they have given you. Now you should be honest with yourself. Those words are simply a reflection of what is inside you. They are who you are. They tell the world what sort of person you are.
Fortunately you can change - by choosing to do so.

You have to decide to replace your thoughts of negativity with positive thoughts.

Determine what words you will need to use to change the negative words on your paper. When you have done this, begin to insert these new positive thoughts in your mind.

You will soon begin to notice a positive change taking place in your life. Those around you - your family, your friends and your co-workers will all notice it as well. They may not be sure exactly what is that is different about you. But they will soon acknowledge that you are no longer the same person that you used to be.
