Perfect Sincerity Is Based in Organising the Entire Being’s Action Around the Psychic Centre

All the various parts of our being have different focuses, characteristics, needs and desires. The amalgamation of these different elements, body, life-force and mind leads to an uneasy truce that invariably sets in motion various conflicting energies, directions, goals and objectives.

We normally define sincerity as the outer expression that is consistent with the inner sense. What we say, or do, matches up with our own mind and feelings. It is an expression of our inner truth in an ultimate sense, although for most people, it is not as serious as a complete alignment of the inner and outer being. It is more an expression of intention in relation to someone with whom we are relating. Due to the natural conflicting drives between the different parts of the external being, this external manifestation of sincerity is generally always imperfect and incomplete.

The Mother provides a different definition about what constitutes perfect sincerity. We can relate to this with an image of a symphony orchestra. Every section of the orchestra represents a different aspect of the external being. The percussion, brass, woodwinds, and strings each carry different vibrations. If they each just play what they like, when they like, the sound is terrible! One has only to listen to the warm up period as the instruments test their sound and pitch. The unifying factor is the conductor. It is the conductor’s job to ensure total and complete harmony between each of the various sections and the individual instruments in the sections.

In our example here, the psychic being is represented by the conductor who organises the entire orchestra around his direction and guidance. Once that occurs, there is no mismatch of the various parts and they make harmonious music together.

The Mother observes: “The complete unification of the whole being around the psychic centre is the essential condition to realise a perfect sincerity.”
