Simply A-Peeling - About Chemical Peels
Written by tedd woods
Recent technological advances have seen the introduction of a wide range of machines all promising signs of reversing aging. Of intense light (IPL) laser pulse of the spectrum for light emitting diodes (LEDs), different machines all claims to stimulate collagen production and tighten sagging skin. The results are often subtle and can take months and multiple sessions to be correlated with the time it takes for new collagen to form.
Often overlooked in the market for aesthetic, perhaps its simplicity, is the chemical peel humble. This category of treatment has also been dramatic progress in recent years and often saw the results parallel those observed with the treatments more expensive machine!
The chemicals have been used since the time of Cleopatra, whose milk baths are considered early lactic acid peels. Chemical peels have been used by dermatologists to treat acne and pigmentation, and reverse the signs of aging.
As the skin ages, slows the rate of cell turnover down, resulting in the construction of a thick layer of dead squamous cells. This causes the dull, matte often seen as people age. Other signs of aging, including wrinkles, pigmentation (sun damage), loss of volume in the cheeks and lips and relaxation in the region of the cheek.
Effective anti-aging cosmetic therapy to reverse all the signs of aging earlier. The selection of the correct chemical peels and the use of proper attention on a daily basis, can produce such results in weeks!
But the choice of Peel is very important, as is the choice of the operator. Chemical peels can have the same name, but if done in a beauty salon, have lower concentrations of acid apparently identical product, used by a doctor.
Chemical peels can be classified as alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroyacids (BHA), salicylic acid, tricholoracetic acid (TCA) and phenol.
AHA BHA and includes glycolic and lactic acid. These are relatively simple exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and stimulates excess production of collagen.
Peels containing salicylic acid are useful in the treatment of acne. Salicylic acid helps to reduce clogging of the pores of the skin, thus reducing the formation of comedones.
ACT technology has advanced considerably in recent years. The addition of modifiers of the solution has made this type of chemical peel safe, versatile and eminently controllable. Take the Easy TCA peel Technology (Spain) as an example. Remove skin color changes indicate the depth of the skin. Thus, the shell can be used for rejuvenation simple (light needed Peel) for the treatment of melasma (large areas of deep pigmentation), removal of pigmented lesions (sun damage) and fine lines. The TCA peel easily require four treatments, spaced one week apart. All treatment is completed after a month with significant improvement observed between baseline and follow-up photographs.
Phenol peels are the strongest form of chemical peel. Pure phenol peels are not available locally. Some areas have a lower concentration of phenols included. These shells tend to have dramatic effects of elevation.
Chemical peels are generally very fast track, taking an average of 5 minutes to complete each session. Depending on the type of bark is smooth collapses often seen in 2-3 days. This can easily be disguised with moisturizer. Some judgments can be expected if the deep peeling is performed to reduce the heavy pigmentation.
Chemical peels have increased skin sensitivity to sunlight. Optimal sun protection is essential during and after the peeling process. Exposure to sun without protection can lead to undue aggravation of existing pigmentation. However, this is the case with most cosmetic treatments, including the PL and laser treatment.
Some are conce
ed about thinning of the skin after chemical peels permanent. Although the dead cells of the skin removes excess process, which actually causes the skin to produce more collagen, which increases the thickness of the skin and produces a lifting effect.
Chemical peels can be repeated at regular intervals (more frequent treatments may be necessary in the first place) or at least once a year. They are in synergy with other therapeutic modalities available, such as mesoglow (infusion of essential vitamins directly into the skin) and Botox. Their safety, efficiency and flexibility makes this group of treatments is simply a peeling!
