“My youth”—Once I’ve understand, I desire to cling to this fleshly frame of mine. ‘First you’re to burn it out..’ God, before you come, I want to burn it up.
Says God in His turn, “This youth of yours is mine.” I’ve conferred that on you. You’ve got to burn it out first. Eh, will you try to get it burnt? I myself will burn it beforehand. I am more powerful than you. ‘Your being’, I indeed have conferred, I will take it away.
Then what’s primordial being? Desire and Non-desire—in between there lies the feeble, non-attached being. There’s so much argument going on over that single fleshly frame. Nobody else is set up by its side.
When once you begin analyzing, you’ll find that it’s your desire-ridden which is real or true. Cut out all the bother. Next bring your inner self within you under review. Why should you think about the outer existence? You may put it up outside your view, but you had better not.
You’ve set out to seek that out. Taking your cue from that being you go on to seek out the other being. Which will turn out to be the authentic one?
On one occasion this is what I find spoken from the blessed lips, the very next moment again—
Ma-Mahajnan: desire addresses Non-desire. Desire is on the point of dying—after death it’ll get a fresh lease of life—that’s what it supposes. It’s that hypothetical self-speaking.
When Desire first wishes to die, it’ll be killed. Who will kill? Non-desire. So a feeble essence of Non-desire emanates to kill desire—the potent essence of Desire.
Why, first the light of fire-flies, next, indeed the great shining light. When do people see the light of fire-flies? They do when desire is at its fullest, Non-desire is feeble.
Well, Desire perceives Non-desire.
When that desire supposes—I can kill it or it will die, it stands addressing Non-desire thus—(Your) youth is mine. You’re to burn it out. That is, first you’ve got to finish it off before I arrive. Otherwise you won’t be able to come up to this side of mine.
It came and died. It is desired, you ay see signs of its existence. There’s no need for your coming and asking me. I’ll finish it off well ahead of that.
A piece of “Conscious Trance” comprising of discourses and songs, expounded extempore stand unique. Among the three parts: 1) A successful life if you seek how to progress? 2) Render yourself unsuccessful; but how is it possible? 3) The steps to count on; become self-supporting—two songs (in between one and two; two and three) are very meaningful. Thinking that they may not be easy understandable to one and all, have just been omitted. If some one is interested, please comment on the article or contact me, I will make him known and help realizing the essence of the entire aspect. Needless to say, such unique things are in abundance throughout the entire creation of Great Ma-Mahajnan and we are supposed to comprehend those to get the essence of truth.
Ma-Mahajnan, a matchless spiritual genius, expressed her entire creation in a state of "Conscious Trance” which has all been stuffed with matters of highly philosophical value and related with strong literary sense. She could not attend even Primary School due to extreme poverty. Strangely, she was taught all by herself in the School of Nature. The weird and wonderful life is possibly the souse of her vast experience and profound realization. She was born on 17 July, 1928 and passed away on 22 January, 2011. Listen to what Ma-Mahajnan said once: What I tell you briefly about the early phase. Listen first about my life. I was married off at the age of thirteen. I was the second wife, my husband married for the second time and thus I came into his family. I didn’t get any chance for schooling.” You’ll perhaps weep to hear how I came as a wife, driven by utter poverty or how they packed me off. After that all at once I slowly progressed in the domain of that ‘Nothingness’-- “I’m the Mother; the Nothingness, too.”
