A lot of people feel turned off from the surgical facelift due to the extensive recovery period. They also feel that recovery might be too painful, and they cannot return to society as soon as they would want to.

Luckily, there is an alternative to this – the thread lift!

What is a thread lift?

Also known as a silhouette facelift, a thread lift uses polydioxanone sutures to pull and lift the face. Polydioxanone is a bio-compatible substance making the sutures absorbable. This means you do not need to get additional surgery to remove the sutures. Your body absorbs them.

This method is very desirable for a lot of people since it is an easy and non-surgical facelift. It has several perks, such as:

- It gives instant results.
- It has fewer risks and a smaller recovery period.
- It is a daycare procedure performed under local anaesthesia. - It takes only about an hour to complete.
- The bruising or swelling incurred is much less than a
traditional facelift.
- The procedure is relatively lower in cost compared to other
traditional facelifts.

What a Thread Lift Targets

Through these sutures, the thread lift can correct several things about an ageing face:

- Droopy Cheeks
- Nasolabial Folds
- Sagging Jowls
- Sagging Mid-face
- Sagging Neck

It manages this while giving you all the perks, as mentioned above.

The Procedure

First, entry and exit points are marked on the face. These are placed carefully at a distance of 6 inches from each other. Both sides of the face are marked proportionately. Anaesthesia is then administered.

Along with the entry points, small incisions are made to insert the absorbable thread cones that are placed under the skin. These are then pulled to tighten and lift the skin. Once the desired results are obtained, the thread ends are cut.

There is no additional trauma since the sutures are not barbed. Instead, they simply, comfortably provide the desired lift.

The Results

This is perhaps the safest face rejuvenation, i.e. facelift procedure ever. It promises the ideal results through methods which have proven to be reliable. A little bruising or swelling may be experienced. But this reduces gradually in just a few days. You can return to your normal activities within 48 hours post-surgery.

The results showcase a younger, brighter and natural-looking face that lasts this way for years!
