The summer of 1977 I went to Chautauqua, New York to study opera and I was fortunate to find a retired high school teacher who gave me French lessons. I recall that even then I was starting to ask questions because when Miss Lawson would coach me I would say, "This feels so familiar. French feels so natural to me. Why is French so natural to me?
ONLY THE RISK TAKERS ARE FREE 1,650 words We can never get anywhere in life if we do not become risk takers. There is simply no way around it. We've all heard the axiom 'nothing ventured, nothing gained. This is another way of saying that we must become risk takers if we want to journey the path of success. One of my favorite books says that 'to get to the fruit you have to go out on a limb.' That about sums up the need to become a risk taker, and a daring one at that, let me add. The good news is that we are in good company.
I have read and heard so many times that that there is so much power in the spoken word and our feelings. I am reminded of a story I heard many years about a little old lady who had contracted cancer. When the doctor told her the news she simply looked out the window and stared into the distance with a dreamy look and grin on her face. He stood quietly a few moments, letting her assimilate the sad news he had just been obligated to reveal to her.
I have this little saying taped on the book shelf near my computer that says "Every adversity has an equal or greater benefit." I have incorporated it into my belief system and constantly quote it to my clients, friends and family. At first upon hearing this statement one might be inclined to ask for further clarification. For it would seem that adversity is anything but our teacher or liberator.

I was recently asked to give my take on meditation. Q Is there an exercise you can recommend for strengthening one's psychic abilities? I replied, Don't HESITATE! MEDITATE..MEDITATE...MEDITATE. Then meditate some more. If you are serious about your psychic development you got to have your MEDS. ..And you need them daily for them to work. Meditation is very serious soul business, and does wonders to maintain some calm amidst the clutter and chaos of our daily lives. However, let's please keep our sense of humor as well.
The roads are many to the celestial fields of paradise where and bliss dwell. All souls make this long journey, meeting the grand foe of fear who diverts their attention here and there knowing that it can only delay the journey every soul is destined to complete. All travel the road of mediocrity; some for days or months; others for years or lifetimes. The detours of this road are many; each mile leading to thicker more obscure roads which further alienate the self from the self. This road leads to no destination. It only wears down the body and soul.
There are many wise ones from the past who have so much to teach us. May we hear their voices in the stillness and the movement of the wind. May we listen to their teachings from books. May we invoke them in our quiet moments and feel their spirit approach us. May we drive comfort and inspiration from them each and everyone. They have walked upon the shores of terra many a lifetime. Let Friday The 13th Be A Good Day! @ 1,680 words Yesterday was Friday the 13th and I am proud to say that it was a good day for me and I sincerely hope that it was a good day for you as well. It got me to thinking and I thought I'd write a little article because when I talked to a Borders bookstore manager to see about carrying my book of love poems, Dawn's Kiss, I reminded him that today was Friday 13th. I believe that we are all psychic to some degree and most people have a memory or two or more whether they have shared them with anyone else or not. And we must learn to trust and rely upon our intuition and those hunches and impulses and ideas which have a way of just popping into our head out of nowhere. I feel that such hunches are often messages from our soul and from our guides.

If we put in the sacred labor, there comes a time when we really begin to get in the flow when it comes to manifesting our dreams. This is when things begin to really get exciting. For many of us, getting to this point can take a long time. I know all about that from experience. It's easy for an aspiring writer to say I want to write the all American novel. Actually from what I've heard people tend to say something like "some day I'd like to write the all American novel." That is a very weak statement, totally lacking devotion, true sincerity or intention.
