Good morning to all….. As I begin with you today I realize that it is close to Noon and I ask; what has happened to the morning? I’m sure that everyone wonders that from time to time. We had one appointment this morning which I figured would take maybe 30 minutes or so – more than an hour later we return. Hum, then I realized that not everyone is on “my” timetable. Funny how that works!
Good morning everyone…. I’m walking on sunshine today. What a beautiful day. A thought came to me this weekend when we were racing around trying to get it all done. I thought, “Just in the nick of time.” How many of us operate that way? “Just in the nick of time.” We run from one place to another or one activity to another by the “skin of our teeth.” I see a picture of someone making it onto a subway train “just in the nick of time.” That means that they just made it before the door closed. Whew….with no seconds to spare.
Good morning everyone…. I’m not sure if my week is going fast or slow…I thought it was Thursday today. Then Sarah, my oldest daughter, reminded me that it is Wednesday. So do I slow down or speed up? I’m feeling a whirlwind here. Speaking of whirlwinds…..George and I were discussing our schedules and we both felt a bit overwhelmed. It is at these times where we must “stop, drop and roll.” Like so many other people we have a lot on our plates. Then we ask ourselves - without doing these things…where would we be? Have you asked yourself that?
Welcome to the beginning of your day…. Recently I have been entertained by watching people. I so enjoy watching the expression on others faces when something awesome, exciting, fun and even surprising happens to them.
Good morning my friends….. George (my husband) and I have been talking recently about moving some plants around. He said that this time of year is good for moving plants because they go dormant. I guess it is a kind of sleep for plants, trees, shrubs and bears. Some of our foliage has done so well where it has been planted that it is “out of control.” It is time to move out and replant for a new start. I began to think about this in regards to our own lives. We have all heard the expression, “Bloom where you have been planted.” Do we think about this much?
Good morning to all…. This morning I started the day by ushering out a few family members….one by one they left to fulfill their daily obligations. I realize more and more that it is not the “job” we have or where we go; it is what we do with that job and what we do where we go. I kiss each one goodbye, even walk them out, wave about a million times (not kidding!) and bless each one with daily blessings.
Good morning to all….. These summer mornings are great. We take things a little slower than normal and the pace, I do believe, suits me just fine. How about you? As I was out on a walk the other day I noticed how beautiful many of the homes around me are. How tall they stand, how clean they look, how pristine they are and how well manicured they are. Actually some of them do not even look lived in. There is not a bush out of place, the mulch has not been stepped in, the flowers are hanging in baskets and everything looks in place.
Hello & Good Morning! A new routine starts for us today. This is a new routine of the kids being home from school for the summer. I’m bracing myself for, “I’m bored!” It will come soo I’m sure. History has a way of repeating itself! George and I have such high expectations of what will get accomplished over these summer months. George suggests that we cut the television off, turn off the Play station 2 games and everyone read, clean up and “help their mom.” HA HA HA….I’m still laughing, can you hear me????
Good morning my friends…. Here we are ready to face another day of giving and making a difference. We started our day very early this morning. I’m not sure why we all woke up so early but I have great expectations for this day. Let’s get started – It’s been put on my heart to speak about “painful memories.” Oops, it even hurts to say those words. Who wants to go there? Not me. However I sense that someone somewhere is struggling and needs some encouragement.
Good morning….. Another glorious day, wouldn’t you agree? I was once asked (OK maybe more than once.) if I ever think a day is not glorious or wonderful or bright or beautiful….sure I do. I just can’t remember when. It is difficult to see darkness when you live in a rainbow! I’ve been talking with people who feel overwhelmed and one of them could have been you. Overwhelmed, a feeling many of us have these days.
Good morning to all….. We started our day today ushering cars around for inspection. It is always fun to juggle schedules, cars and routines just to make sure that a car is available at home to drive. Then later on I get to pick up one car at one garage and drop another one off at a different garage. This will be interesting….! You know, bicycles are not a bad way to go! I want to share with you something she said, he said, they said…what? You know when you ask someone a question and you get well… “she said,” or “he said,” or “they said,” what about what YOU said?r
Good morning everyone…. I woke up this morning wondering why this week has felt so long. Then I realized that it is Thursday so I felt a little better….so close to Friday. When we come off of a holiday weekend sometimes we get all messed up just by having that Monday off. You would think that by going through this year after year I would adjust. (I’m sure that my Mama would have had a saying for this one!) And….this brings me to the topic of life going WAY TOO FAST!!! For instance, what is with the text messaging language? Seriously I do not get it and I’m not sure that I will.r
Good morning and happy day!!!! It is true; I do have a spring in my step, a song in my heart, and hope on the horizon. This morning my oldest daughter Sarah and I went to an appointment together. We were able to spend some time together talking and laughing. Then while we were out, I said “let’s stop at the grocery and pick up a few items”…..well while we were there I started to dance…Really! The music that was playing caught my ear and set my feet to moving. HA HA
Hello and Good morning…. Have you ever had one of those weeks when you run into your office, slide across the desk and fall into your chair???? Well that is where I am. Sometimes I see a sitcom built around me! Glory to the Lord I am back….so let’s get started. My question is – When you loose control, who is in control? Let’s picture the times when we have lost control over a situation, a person or persons or even ourselves. Who or what is in control? Not a pretty picture most of the time.
Good day to you all….. A little late you say? Yes, you are right. I am out of routine…the children are home today, I’m running instead of working, and I’m a little distracted. So to move on… May you love and be loved, may you find candy under your pillow (even if you put it there yourself) and a flower in your garden!!! Speaking of love….I was surrounded by it yesterday. I met with some utterly fantastic, unselfish, motivated, loving, kind, and caring seniors.
