Anne Sentell has been working in the field of cognitive therapy and training for 12 years. She began as a visual and cognitive therapist working in an optometric office doing visual and cognitive therapy with children who had both visual and cognitive difficulties. The following are some of the skills she taught her students: concentration, how to improve processing speed, visualization, long and short-term memory, visual memory, visual-motor integration, logic and reasoning, and eye-teaming skills.
In 2000, she launched her own business Progressive Learning Solutions, helping children with cognitive processing and eye-teaming problems. The program is a one-on-one 12 week intense cognitive processing training program, for children with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia and and other learning problems. Anne saw such a dramatic positive change in the grades and confidence level of her students, that she wanted to provide a home cognitive training kit for parents, teachers, or professionals to use in the home, school, or office.
In December 2007, she published the Left-Behind Survial kit, consisting of 5 books including cognitive training tools and an easy to use training manual. In 2008, She published her second set of books, the Auditory Building Blocks Program for children with dyslexia and other reading problems. Progressive learning Solutions provides PDF versions of all of our materials and personal support to all of our clients throughout the program.
