The heart needs to be free to do what it does best - channeled love unconditionally in the moment." Meditation We all have the ability to receive messages from the Divine. The place to begin is meditation by listening to God through the still small voice within.

"How do we qualify information as it enters our 'field' ?" The resonance of truth varies depending on our ability to be aware at deeper levels. We have a 'field' that surrounds us, a kind of 'spidey sense' that we often neglect. How do we 'vet' the information and people providing it so that the quality is there; so that sense is made common? We've heard about the notion of 'questioning authority' yet the authority we question often has bias in our questions. The solution is to ask better questions, those questions that arise naturally from our gut feelings.

The ego appears to be a complex web of beliefs, ideas, concepts and images that we believe we are. In its dysfunction, the ego can be a negative voice in our head that would have us believe that we are separate from Love.

According to the Urban Dictionary in the zone is an "expression used to describe a state of consciousness where actual skills match the perceived performance requirements perfectly. "Being in the zone implies increased focus and attention which allow for higher levels of performance. Athletes, musicians and anybody that totally owns a challenge of physical and mental performance can be in the zone." In the zone is the place to be. No thoughts to distract us, just being in the moment with mindfulness. That's where it's happening. There is no place else to be.

In human groups culture is always at work. Whether it is a workplace organization, school, spiritual center, community, club, or family, there is a structure that guides behavior. The structure is based on choices made over time by various leaders in the group. It becomes "The way we do things." It feels like the way things are is, well, the way things are. This is true, except the way things are can be changed.

From the beginning of recorded time humans have looked outward for a force greater than themselves. In the process of identifying or defining the Gods "out there" somewhere in "yonder heavens" these gods have taken on strangely human characteristics which, in most cases, have, not only been extensions of the illusions of the time but are only unique in their size and quantity. In other words the characteristics assigned to God are just bigger and better versions of the nature of the humans who have created them.

Living as a mystic for me is a gift and a challenge both. It is a journey of awakening to who I truly am, loving myself and developing my personal relationship to God, Goddess. Moment to moment unfolding the truth from within is part of the process. Sometimes it flows and I feel ecstatic as I surrender to Source. Other times my head throbs, my stomach chu s when my thoughts conflict with the inner voice. "I chose this - living as a mystic? Why?"
