I'm getting ready to go to the gym. And I'm wearing them...my usual sneakers.

They work. Plenty comfortable enough. They're dirty though. There the same sneakers that stepped in many puddles and climbed the hills at Red Rock Canyon last summer, not to mention many other dirty places.

As I'm getting ready to leave my daughter checks me out. The eyes go right to my feet.

"Dad, those sneakers. They don't look good."

Hmmm...I got them a good two years ago. They were on special at Marshall's.

As I recall, back then I was in a different stage of evolution...spiritually, financially, every which way.

They were right for me then. They were a good friend in fact. Practical, comfortable, a step up from what I'd been wearing before.

Now I'm different. Wiser. Kinder. Stronger. More prosperous.

Yes, and sexier.

If we define sexy in a broad sense...attractive, magnetic, powerful...

...then I guess I AM too sexy for my sneakers!

Looks like I'll have to go pick up a new pair.

Thanks for noticing, Jill.

And thanks for thinking enough to me to encourage me to wear stuff befitting the man I am.

How about you? Is your outer self an accurate reflection of your inner self?

You don't need to go hog wild. Upgrade somewhere, and see if it inspires you to do more.

Or even better, see if it brings new and better stuff into your experience.
