Of all the parts of our microcosm, we are presently able to consciously perceive only our physical body. However, besides our physical manifestation we possess a couple of invisible, but very important bodies. In connection with the seven chakras, we have to consider the so-called Etheric body, which stands in close relation with the physical corporeality. The main 7 energy centers or chakras are actually incorporated in it.

Within the etheric body we find a lot of various energy flows. Apart from the chakras, there are many other energy centers, but it also possesses over 72 000 nadis or energy channels. The seven energy centers are related to the seven glands of the endocrine system. The seven chakras are actually represented on the physical plane, and these representations are the seven endocrine glands.

The seventh crown chakra - Sahasrara - expresses the ultimate spiritual experiences. On the emotional level we find the fourth hearth chakra - Anahata - and here the energy is represented through the quality of love. On the physical plane we experience sexual energy - that is, we are in the domain of the second sacral chakra Svadhisthana.

Each of the seven chakras possesses positive and negative features. We should always try to develop the positive qualities so that the energy centers can develop properly. The only exception is the seventh crown chakra which does not possess negative qualities related to it.

The seventh chakra is located at the top of the head. It brings the qualities of unity, freedom, and Divine consciousness.

The sixth chakra is located at the center of the forehead - the location of the Third Eye. Here, we find mental abilities and inner wisdom, but also pride, arrogance and doubt.

The fifth chakra is located at the throat. It brings peace, calm, balance and communication skills. In its negative aspect it can be a center of jealousy, or wrongly used power.

The fourth chakra is located in our heart center. The positive energies of this chakra are love, adoration and healing, whereas the negative are passivity and laziness.

The third chakra is located in the area of the solar plexus and it brings energies of service and personal power. In its negative aspect one can find greed, obesity and fear.

The second energy center brings rhythm, and invocation in its positive meaning. In the negative sense, it is a center of anger and apathy. This chakra is located in the lower abdomen.

Finally, the first, base chakra is located at the root of the spine. The negative aspect of this center brings passion and lust, while the positive purity and energy potential for the physical body. To each of the chakras we can also relate several chakra stones that are able to influence the energies of the 7 chakras.

This creativity that can be attained by awaking the hidden kundalini energy located in the base chakra is tremendous. By putting the chakras into action, we also contact some adequate latent areas in our brain. When, according to the eastern terminology, the snake power or kundalini energy that resides in the root chakra finds its way up to the crown chakra, the experience of enlightenment takes place. We then become at One with God. Then we are able to utilize our brain potential more fully, our knowledge increases, our powers are getting stronger, and we are becoming more conscious of our life in the here and now.
