The Point of No Returns

When you are in the throes of changing your life, you will eventually reach the ‘point of no return’: a critical juncture after which there is no way back to the way things were.

The point of no return will mean different things to different people but essentially, it is the stage at which the deal is done: you’ve handed in your resignation or accepted the buyout package or told the person you needed to tell whatever it is you needed to tell them.

Not easy, because as you move towards the ‘point of no return’, you will become acutely aware that there is still time to call the whole thing off, to shy away from the final impact and forget about ever trying to change your life again.

But if you reach the ‘point of no return’ and fail to pass it; if you reach the point of change and don’t change it, your life will revert to the old safe hold. You will have reached the point of no return but having failed to follow through, you will remain unfulfilled and unrewarded.

And short as life is - what is the point of ‘no returns’?
