Have you heard people say, "He became an overnight success?"

Really? Overnight? I doubt it.

Behind every great thing that ever happens, there are usually countless years of very hard work; decades of blood, sweat, and tears. Ask any writer, any performer, any artist. They've worked their butts off to reach the pinnacle on which they stand.

Nothing happens overnight. Perhaps there's a tipping point. Maybe an actor gets on a hit movie and then becomes what seems to be "an overnight success." Yes, the movie could have put him in the limelight, but if you sit and talk to him, he'll tell you about all the commercials, the shows, and movies no one ever watched, or remembers if they did. He'll tell you that maybe he got discouraged, but in spite of it, he kept going. And voila, that hit movie came along. And now everyone wants him.

Don't be discouraged by hard work.
Don't plan to be an overnight success.
DO plan to work very hard.
DO expect to feel discouraged, but don't let it stop you.

Work hard to create something great. Invest time, energy, passion.

And then, "Suddenly" there you'll be!
