Angel Healing

We're all aware of the conventional healing methods that follow the sequences like initial tests, advanced tests, diagnosis, prognosis and finally medication. All the scientific evidence backed healing processes fall under the conventional healing methods.

But from ancient times, various non-conventional forms of treatment and healing have been in practice. These are not backed altogether by scientific evidence and are often looked down upon by firm believers of science and medicine. Before you draw any conclusions, let me give you a background about this.

Angel Healing has happened since a very long time. But no records of such a process exist today. That doesn't mean it is fake! It simply means that it wasn't held as something out of the ordinary earlier. We are all aware of the fact that every religion which ever existed, spoke of Messengers or Messiahs or Masseehas or Angels.

Supposedly Harbingers of the Lord's light, these were and still are revered as blessed souls. They were chosen for their purity and blessed to become protectors or keepers or guides of the lesser ones or God's mortal children (us, people).

It was far easier to talk and convince people of the existence and power of such Angels, when there was no question of questioning the existence and power of God. But as time passed, due to many events, there began a deterioration in the level of faith too. People began to not only question God's existence, but also renounce faith entirely. It came to be considered a right of a person to do so and it is today, according to psychology and behavioural science called 'Power of Free Will'.

Anyway, the result was a serious fall in the number of people who believed in Angel healing and praying to guardian angels. Somewhere in the late 1990's, an American Psychologist named Doreen Virtue, revived the subject and started dabbling in the ancient form of healing. Holding private and public readings and prayer sessions, she began introducing this culture of Angel Healing and people started paying attention to Faith Healing again.

Today it has become a widely used practise and people have started opting for Angel Healing even in case of terminal diseases and critical cases.

It is only natural to ask, "Who are these angels? What do people ask of them?" and also the most important one, "Does it work??"

All these questions will be answered, but first let us have a look at who all these 'Archangels - Blessed by the Lord's light' are. Yes, there is a list of these angels, gathered from ancient scriptures and also from religious writings.

Most of them have a common reference in Christianity, Judaism and various other religions. The following list was found more firmly in the Judeo-Dionysian times.

Given below is a list of the 7 Archangels, considered as the guardians, guides and keepers of human beings:

1. Archangel Michael

Probably the most celebrated among all angels, Archangel Michael is one of the few angels to be canonized and has churches dedicated to him all over the world.

Archangel Michael is depicted in the form of a youthful, muscular, man; giving him the aura of a protector. And so that is one of the primary functions of Archangel Michael. He is the Protector. He is the guardian angel who comes to the rescue of all those who call upon him.

Another important function he performs is that of giving guidance. Showing the lost souls, the right path and guiding people on the path to their life's purpose. That is also Archangel Michael's department.

2. Archangel Gabriel

Archangel Gabriel is one of the two angels, specifically mentioned in the Holy Scriptures (the other being Michael).

Gabriel is the angel of children's welfare and also of creative writing. Archangel Gabriel is said to be someone who favours those who wish to protect and love children.

Also, if you are someone with a penchant for writing or any kind, then he is your man. Gabriel has always been seen as the one who helps to get ideas flowing and also helps to understand the scriptures and their intricacies.

Gabriel is also associated with all art forms. Even today, festivals of music and other literary events are held on the day of the Feast of St. Gabriel.

3. Archangel Chamuel

Chamuel is often confused with the dark angel Samael, who has an evil and destructive nature. This is a wrong assumption. Chamuel is one of the original 7 archangels of the Pseudo-Dionysian teachings.

As "he who sees God," Chamuel has omniscient vision, and he sees the connection between everyone and everything.

Chamuel is in charge of maintaining peace in turbulence and has the divine ability to see or find lost objects or even lost life purposes.

Whenever you may feel like you've lost track of life or simply if you lose a family heirloom, call on Archangel Chamuel and he will sort it out for you.

4. Archangel Uriel

When people talk of Uriel, they often exclude him from the main list that includes others like Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, etc. This is because his power is more about the unexplainable things.

He is the one who governs intuitions, epiphanies, that feeling you have, like something big is about to happen or that something is about to go wrong? Yes, that is Uriel's department.

Among angels, Uriel is the wise old man who knows the eternal secret. Whatever the secret may be. Uriel knows something and that something just happens to be the solution we seek.

Uriel works with Zidkiel, to help students, scholars or anyone inclined towards the academics, to achieve greatness.

So try calling on Uriel before that all important test next time!

5. Archangel Raphael

The Angel of healing, Archangel Raphael is worshipped as the one who cures diseases and also helps ease pain and suffering that come from disease.

He was also one who helps prevent disease and is also worshipped in that sense as a protector.

Archangel Raphael, primarily puts forth the idea that God heals. He comes with the message that all the suffering in the world and the diseases that plague mankind, will be healed by the hand of the Almighty.

So if you are looking to be healed in any form, Archangel Raphael is the one you have to call upon.

6. Archangel Jophiel

Angels of Love and Light describes her as "the Archangel of Paradise and the Patron of Artists and Illumination".

Jophiel was considered the enlightened soul. The Archangel of Beauty, is another common term used to describe her.

It is said that Jophiel is in charge of beautifying all aspects of one's life, be it thoughts, surroundings, home, self, etc.

Archangel Jophiel brings back the lost beauty in things and also enhances the existing beauty of things. Beauty here is not just a term used to explain physical appearance. It also deals with the inner beauty.

Archangel Jophiel is called upon when there is a need to change negativity into positivity. When one needs a mind-set to go from negative to positive, when one needs clarity to see the good in all things, Jophiel is called upon.

7. Archangel Zadkiel

Three words best describe this Archangel. Freedom, Mercy and Benevolence.

In the Old Testament, it is said that Zadkiel was the holy hand that stopped a father, Abraham, from sacrificing his son Isaac. Archangel Zadkiel is thus the merciful.

Zadkiel is called upon when there is a need to give or receive forgiveness. It is believed that he is the silent voice in the heart, which encourages one to forgive and forget.

Archangel Zadkiel also helps students when they have to remember a lot of statistics and figures! Now you know whom to call upon before the dreaded Math test!!

These 7 archangels are the main force of the Lord. There are others like Ariel, Metatron, Seldaphon, etc. But many faiths include or exclude them based on their respective scriptures.

Having now gained a fair understanding of who the angels are and what they do, we can now move to the more important question.

"Does Angel Healing actually work?"

As someone who believes in only basing opinions on previously tested facts and personally experienced things, I am being honest when I say, I do not know.

But from what I have read and what information is available from books and testimonials given by various believers, I have managed to gauge the following information.

• It is not backed by scientific evidence and is not accepted as a proven method of healing by any conventional medical practitioner or school of thought.

• There are various resources that claim this form of healing works, based on the existing testimonial of people who have tried it out.

• As a practise, which involves only the use of prayer as a form of communicating and seeking help and guidance from the Archangels, it is thus far safe to try.

• Ultimately, whether something works or not depends entirely on one single element. Faith. Faith can move mountains. There are many instances where conventional medical science has failed to prove.

Why a person who did not respond to medication for weeks, suddenly began to heal through alternate medicine.

• There is no harm in trying anything. As long as it causes you no physical or mental harm, trying is best. You never know what may work!

I would conclude by saying just this. Believe in God or don't believe in God. Believe in Angels or don't believe in Angels. But always believe in the power of faith.

Faith in something, even yourself, can be the difference between life and death. Never lose hope and always have faith.
