How would you describe your relationship with money?

Are you a wanton lover, chasing money around and tossing it about with little regard?

Are you a neglectful partner, ignoring money most of the time and then expecting it to be there for you when you need it most?

Or are you a financial wallflower, secretly hoping money will find you, but doing little yourself to actually seek it out?

If any of this sounds familiar, it's time for you to heal your relationship with money. And there's no time to waste...

Why Is Your Relationship with Money Important?

As a spiritual practitioner, you're already aware of how the Law of Attraction works.

But I'm betting that whenever you've tried to apply this principle to money you've hit a wall. This wall may be a hidden belief or money myth such as, "Money is... bad, dirty, unimportant, scarce, shameful, etc."

But the truth is, money is energy. Nothing more. Nothing less. Any other value you assign to it is defined by your personal attitude and upbringing around money. So let's explore a few dysfunctional money relationships and see if we can get you on the way to enjoying a healthy, productive relationship with money.

The Wanton Lover

• You feel like you've got to be the one to pick up the bill, even when you know you don't have the cash to cover it.

• You spend money on non-essentials and convince yourself that you "deserve" them because you're neglecting yourself in other areas of your life.

• You carry a large amount of debt with little to show for it.

Seal Your Money Leaks To Heal Your Money Mindset

The wanton lover can't hold on to the object of her affection for long. So it's time for you to seal up your money leaks and show money that you care. Start by assessing your debt and creating a solid plan for managing it.

Keep in mind, debt itself it not a negative thing. In fact, buying a new car, owning your own home and investing in your business are all positive actions that often require you to incur debt.

But racking up the credit card bills on dinners out and clothes you'll never wear is a different energy altogether ~ that's the energy of a money leak, not an investment! Your job as a loyal money partner is to know the difference so your money doesn't feel misused.

The Neglectful Partner

• You have no idea how much money you have in the bank right now.

• You don't know how much money you spend each month, or where you spend it.

• When you think about saving or planning for the future you figure you'll get around to it some day.

Give Your Money The Attention It Deserves

You've ignored your money for long enough. Now it's time to give your money the attention it deserves! Start by creating a budget (yes, that's right I said budget) and sticking with it.
Make sure you track the following things...

• How much money you have in the bank.

• How much money you owe.

• How much money you bring in through all of your income streams each month.

• How much you spend each month (your expenses).

• Where you're spending your money (programs like QuickBooks are great for tracking this kind of information).

The Financial Wallflower

• You're financially responsible and have some money saved, but you're too afraid to take any risks with your money, preferring to "play it safe" all the time.

• Even when you have the money you won't splurge on yourself (or if you do you feel guilty about it later).

• You don't invest in yourself or your business, which keeps you stuck in a negative money pattern.

Activate The Law Of Circulation To Attract More Money

In addition to the Law of Attraction, there's another law you should be aware of in your relationship with money... the Law of Circulation.

We've all heard the saying, "Nature abhors a vacuum."From a financial standpoint, if you're expecting money to come into your life without circulating it through your life, you're creating a vacuum. The result is money stagnation.

Until you activate the Law of Circulation in your life and your business, you're going to find that you stop attracting money completely. The key here is to engage your money in ways that enrich your life and your business.

If you feel stuck and don't see a way to attract more money into your life right now, it's time to invest in your growth. Take that college course, hire that consultant or start working with that business coach you've been following. The return on your investment will be well worth it in the long run. I promise!
