The essence of all scriptures, the spiritual discipline and the practice of spirituality is just one i.e. secure the knowledge of your true Self. The awareness of the Self is the final goal of spiritual seeking!

However, not being able to comprehend the subtlest and the most profound element in the universe, which is our own true Self; we endlessly wonder and imagine, ‘Who am I? What is my true Self? Is it in the form of light? If yes, what’s its illumination like!’

One yearns for the true Vision of Self; but wherefrom do I get that Vision, that one fails to know? The wrong beliefs about the Self can push me millions of miles away from the absolute truth - this awareness exists; but how do I validate my beliefs is a question that still persists? We thus wander from one place to another with the quest to fully capture the concept of true Self, and this quest continues to suffocate until we are unable to locate that who can help me liberate.

One refers scriptures and books; and the powerful words therein increase the seeker’s desire for liberation even more than before. Every scripture or a spiritual book explains that our true Self is the Soul that resides within, and not the body or name that are visible outside; and it also maintains that without the knowledge of the true Self there is no liberation.

The light of the Soul cannot be described with words.
The profound discussions about how the true Self is and how should we define it, all end up fruitless when it comes to illuminating a single ray of light of our Pure Soul, our true Self; and therefore turn out to be a mere exercise of intellect that takes one nowhere ahead on the path of liberation.

So is it really possible to capture and define the concept of true Self?
Let’s see…

It is true that the Soul, which is our true Self, is invisible and inexpressible in words and therefore it cannot be found in books for sure.
Where do we find it then?...
The answer is: in the heart of a Gnani. Yes, it exists in the heart of a Gnani!!!

Millions of questions are bound to arise in the form of doubts and queries within those who seek Self-realization, this is but natural. But they can delude our vision, can create obstacles on our path and even throw us off-track, if we do not have the correct answers.

For instance, ‘I am a part of Parmatma (Absolute Soul)’, say until such an illusory belief prevails within us, we will never be able to understand that ‘I, myself am the Absolute Soul (Parmatma); I am independent; I am the complete Self, and not a fraction.’

So, in absence of real knowledge, we are holding the tubers of wrong belief. And these only the Living Gnani unravels, for the Gnani has Seen, Known and Experienced the true Self. He resides in the true Self Himself and makes others experience the true Self too.

Gnani has the answers to all our questions. The core definitions that He provides are spot-on and convincing enough for the exactness of the concept to open up and sink-in in the mind of the questioner. This gives evidence of Gnani’s divine and perfectly clear Vision, with the help of which it becomes possible for one to capture the concept of true Self!!

Finding the Living Gnani puts an end to the endless debates and confusions in our mind and He removes the darkness of ignorance of true Self too in our life. Getting the answer, when we follow even a single word of Living Gnani, it has immense power as it pierces through our heart and sheds layers of infinite veils of our faults that have been shrouding the supreme light of the Absolute Soul (Parmatma) since infinite lives.

With his divine energy, Gnani illuminates this light of Absolute Soul within us. Only those who’ve got a chance to experience this divine energy of His can relish its beauty, for it helps accomplish the ultimate!!
‘The Soul truly is pure, and that is what I am for sure’ – this conviction, first and foremost, is important to come. And it comes only with the grace of Gnani!!! Once Gnani establishes this conviction within us, it always then remains with us and shows us the smallest of our mistakes.

Our train stops travelling in the wrong direction thereafter, as Gnani makes us take the U turn by giving us the true Vision. Remaining in the presence of Gnani, the aspirant is able to gradually capture the concept of the Eternal in its true meaning and staying in His shelter, he indeed experiences the Eternal true Self as it is, one day.

Only a lit candle can light another candle…
Hence, it is possible to not only capture and define the concept of true Self, but also the experience of it.

The knowledge of the true Self (Atma Gnan) thus can be acquired by meeting a Gnani. And through the scientific approach of Akram Vignan, even today one can attai
Atma Gnan, by meeting Pujyashree Deepakbhai, the Living AtmaGnani and receiving the AtmaGnan from Him. That which can never be attained even over millions of lifetimes, is finally made possible within an hour through this Living Gnani!!!

It has been described in scriptures that the light of our true Self is such that illuminates the entire universe. We are able to see this light when Gnani makes it shine within us!!!

Questioner: If we surrender to the great souls that lived thousands of years ago, can that be considered surrender? Can we make any progress through such surrender or do we need to surrender to a living great man? Dadashri: You can progress even through Paroksha (indirectly- one not currently living). However if you find such a living (Pratyaksh) person, then your liberation will be instant. The indirect approach will give you the benefit of progress but there is no liberatio
