How to Communicate Effectively
Effective communications skills are essential for success in all aspects of life

Have you ever asked your self if you are communicating effectively?
Do you wonder some times why people don’t listen to you?
Or have you ever been speaking to a person, or group of people, and had the thought, “They’re not even listening to me. I don’t understand – why is this so hard.

Is certain that we all have had times in our lives where we find it difficult to talk to some particular individuals and we have no clue why? Is it because we don’t like them? Or they don’t like us? Or Is it their culture or family background? …

There’s good news. You don’t have to accept this situation. With the implementation of a simple tool, called the Skill and Will Quadrant, you can eliminate any obstacle.

Whatever are the reasons, you should be able to achieve an effective communication irrelevant of the type of individuals that you interact with. One way to achieve this is by realising that the person you are talking to have a different understanding and feelings of what you about to tell them.
We as human beings are not static we are constantly moving to different emotional levels and understanding stages as we interact with people, that’s why is important that you asses these levels before communicating with you opponent(s).

To help you asses your opponent I have designed the Skill & Will quadrant that will help you understand and asses your opponent so then you can decided the best strategy to communicate effectively.

Skill and Will exist independently of each other; however, they are also deeply entangled. They significantly affect one another, and are in a constant state of interdependent flux.

The quadrant represents four distinctive Skill and Will states of being. As we experience different situations in our lives, we move from one quadrant to another.
The fluid transition from one quadrant to the other can happen over time, or in a matter of seconds. The secret is to understand where an individual fits into the quadrant at the moment you are communicating. If you can identify the individual’s current level of Skill and Will, you will know exactly how to communicate with that person. You will understand how to adjust your language and behavior to achieve the positive behavioral change you need from the other person, and you will prime that person to hear your message.

Evaluation and adjustment must occur every time you interact with an individual.
