Are you tired of being too skinny? Are you willing to do almost anything to add a little weight to your frame? Do people tell you that you need to eat more? If so you've come to the right place. I know what you're going through because I've been there too and I'd like to help out. Here are 4 tips to help you out.

Tip #1-

The first thing you have to do is to eat more food than you've ever eaten before. I know that you're thinking that you're already eating a lot but I'd like to explain how you need to eat more. I follow a little formula where you multiply your current weight by 20 and that will give you the amount of calories you need to eat. For example if you weigh 100 pounds you need to eat a whopping 2,000 calories to add weight to your body.

Tip #2-

The next thing is to watch your activity level and slow it down as much as possible. There are a few reasons you can't gain weight such as a fast metabolism, high activity level, or you don't eat enough food. These are all things people that want to lose weight should be doing. It's no surprise that you can't gain even a pound if you're doing any of them. I am not saying that you need to become a couch potato but if you can have 2 different goals that conflict. You can't be a marathon runner and expect to gain 20 pounds too.

Tip #3-

The next thing you have to do is make sure you're doing some type of weight training. If you eat a lot of food without lifting weights the weight you gain won't be the good kind. Many women worry that if they weight train they will gain too much muscle but this isn't the case. Most men fail to gain muscle too so it's important that they eat a lot and lift a lot. Start off by doing compound exercises for each of your body groups and work up from there.

Tip #4-

The last tip is to make sure you monitor any progress or lack thereof. If you find out that you still aren't gaining weight then you need to add a few hundred more calories to your diet. If you aren't getting the body development you want you need to switch up your exercises and the reps and sets you do. It's important that you weigh yourself once per week to so you can see your progress. If you follow these tips you'll have a chance of seeing the success you want.
