Glass manufacturing units involves few steps, which change the shape of the glass. You can see around that glass is found in divergent colors and designs. Have you thought about the glass manufacturing process involved in it? It’s very interesting to know how this glossy and gleaming product is formed. Humans have used some form of glass for more than 9,000 years, although glass bottles were first used in Egypt in 1500 BC, according to the New Zealand Chemistry Institute. As far as finished glass is concerned, actually a "super cooled liquid" and has no ordered (molecular) structure, it does not actually melt at any point. It only softens to different degrees depending on the temperature. The glass bottle manufacturing process takes advantage of these qualities.

Three kinds of processes include batch house process, hot end process and cold end processes for manufacturing glass. For manufacturing this wonderful gleamed glass the initial step is batch processing. In this it is noticed that what kind of results are expected from the glass means what kind of shape it needs. Then accordingly it is divided in plethora of batches as next they are sent towards furnaces to be molded in divergent shapes. It is noticed here that how much heat is needed for which kind of glass products and accordingly they are separated. There is stiff glass product which is melted and made on high heat. On the other hand thin glass needs less heat in the production process. Raw material availability is another factor which is considered here, because batches are given according to this.

In the second step of process when batches are made then they are put into furnaces and conveyor belts, where various manufacturing processes are done accordingly by the various skilled workers. After this a proper shape is gained by the glass bottles and then color is mixed accordingly. Next to this the process becomes more complex because it is cooled and the shape it has attained becomes permanent till the same process is not repeated or it is not broken. For making advanced optics, so many more complexities are added in the second process before cooling the material.

No wonder, how much complex is the process but outcome is really wonderful. The bottles which are obtained from the above described process, they are marvelous and prove nice beautiful containers for perfumes, soft drinks, cold drinks and so many other liquid things. Advanced optics of modern era is really fantabulous.
