Happy Bob Barker’s Birthday!!!

Bob Barker, the longtime host remembered for “The Price is Right” game show and many Miss Universe pageants, turns 88 today, December 12.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB!!!

Maybe you can remember exactly where you were and what you were doing when “The Price is Right” came on. Like the rest of us, you had to stop and play along with the games to see how many prizes you could win— trips you could take---cars you could drive. And then, you got to spin the “Big Wheel” to win $10,000 cash INSTANTLY!!! Bob always helped the contestants to make each step easier.

We still watch “The Price is Right” today with Drew Carey, still ‘imagining’ winning prizes, trips, cars, and spinning the “Big Wheel” for cash. The host may have changed, the lovely models have changed (I liked Diane back then and I thought Holly was a lot of fun; now I’m partial to Amber) many of the games they play have changed, the prizes have somewhat changed (most are much larger), yet the contestants are pretty much the same---everyday people like you and me, and occasionally a few “loonies” who we have to laugh with.

I guess that’s we have loved about game shows so much over the years. We get to see everyday people like our friends, family, relatives, and hopefully us, have a chance against the odds to win big and have fun along the way (although the contestants on “Jeopardy” seem more above average). And if we aren’t wishing to spin the “Big Wheel” with Drew, we probably hope to spin the big wheel with Pat and Vanna on “Wheel of Fortune”! Just don’t hit ‘Bankrupt’ and watch your used letter board!!!

Games shows have been on television almost as long as there’s been television. They’ve come and gone and some have even come back again, such as “Let’s Make a Deal”.
Through it all, we’ve always enjoyed watching other everyday people compete and win and always wishing we could have the same opportunity to “win the riches”. The time has come for us to enjoy that opportunity.

Two beaten-down, once homeless guys have discovered how the average masses can actually have money deposited into your own bank account INSTANTLY by the day, the hour , even the minute, and decide how much fun you want to have doing it. I’ve failed financially in most everything I’ve done in the past 35 years and I’ve spent the past 25 years searching for something I can do and finally be successful doing it.
