Does procrastination rule your life? Does it feel like you sit helplessly on the sidelines of your life as you watch this uncontrollable force run it into the ground? Do you realise that means you:

a) have totally lost control over your life and therefore;
b) have no life?

Do you feel sufficiently frustrated to stand up for what is rightfully yours and show up to claim it? So how does one do that you ask?

Procrastination isn’t just a force it is also the way that you have been programmed to behave. It’s much like going into a deep hypnotic trance where you have allowed yourself to accept the role of someone who lacks self-confidence, is afraid of failure, is afraid of disappointing others, believes they are unable to succeed, and so on.

In other words you have adopted a “false personality” i.e. one that betrays the confident, capable, empowered, wise, strong, resilient and empowered being you truly are.

Now, I realise you are likely sceptical about this but you might venture to ask: “if I did believe this then why in the world would I choose to deny it to myself and opt for such a self-negating personality?”

Well, the answer to that is that it occurred to you at a time when you were very young and dependent on others to look after you. At any age, but especially when young, negative events get powerfully “downloaded” into the subconscious mind and cause us to identify ourselves with them. In other words, they begin to form our personality and therefore our identity.

As these memories seem practically “hardwired” – it feels like they truly define us. Another way of saying that is that we have unknowingly chosen to submit ourselves to being enslaved to a program, much like a software algorithm, that is passing itself off as an impostor i.e. as us. This program is so tightly cemented onto our psyche that we cannot see it for what it is – foreign and parasitic to us.

It is now possible to distance ourselves from this programming and get greater clarity about it simply by completely erasing the self-negating memories generating it, thereby ending procrastination and profoundly reawakening to the experience of one’s true, authentic and empowered self. That is equivalent to coming back to life i.e. showing up for your life.
